Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the promotion on X. It really is a visit well worth it. I was fossil struct but they had a nice display on the first floor of native animals of Nebraska. The taxidermy of those animals was some of the best I've seen. I just enjoyed looking didn't take too many pictures though or I would have been there even longer than I already was, haha

Our daughter lives an hour away from Lincoln, so we are MOTIVATED now (at least, I am!) to get there.
The many hidden treasures... our world is filled with them.
Fossils, rocks, bones, native flora and fauna: thank you for reminding me of my passions!
(Yes, it's possible to forget one has any passions left, when striving to achieve detachment.)
Our daughter buys an annual pass to the magnificent zoo in Omaha. That treasure is not at all hidden. Huge crowds! But she has just one destination every week: to the desert dome, to the bobcat enclosure, where "Doc," who's going on age 30, still lives behind the glass wall... a bobcat so endearing, I commissioned this portrait. (My husband, the UNL alum, an engineer, never took an art class in his life but.... wow.)

The tiny furry overlord forgets that his own portrait had been commissioned first!

And before THAT, he had been immortalized on a wood slice by a local artist.

Oh the zoo it's a great visit. I live less than 5 miles from it. One of the best in the country but you already know that. I haven't been in awhile but I have thought about doing an article on it for quite some time.

Awwh cute cat and I can feel the love you have for it. The decoration is super neat 😊

Take care and I hope you visit the museum soon. I'm sure you will treasure it.
