Hello art enthusiasts! How's everyone doing? I hope you're all well. I'm excited to share another artwork I created today using coffee powder as a medium. I named it "The Scent of Fall Painting" Please take a look and share your thoughts!
This artwork invites us to envision a visual representation of the exciting experience of autumn. It captures the reality and essence of the season, inviting us to engage with our senses and memories. It suggests a painting that goes beyond simply depicting a scene, aiming to stir up a feeling, a memory, or a sensory experience uniquely connected with the autumn season.
I used three types of painting brushes for this piece and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
👉 Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
👉 Pencil and Eraser
👉 Coffee Powder
👉 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
👉 Ruler
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
👉 Filbert brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
• On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
• The same procedure with the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.

I love how the trees fade back into the fog.

Where I live, there is a huge fenced in horse pasture across the street that has sparse trees scatter through it. On a normal day, I can see way across to the other side where the barn is, but as fall comes in, which has on gotten that far yet this year, there will be mornings where the fog sits in the pasture and only the trees closet to the road are clear. Then, the rest are shrouded in fog. it is always a lovely thing to see.

That's what this reminded me of.

I love your comment! It's well said, @jacey.boldart
Thanks & God bless!
