Yes, the moon is indeed female in the roman languages, Spanish, French, and, although, English uses the neutral "the", people refer to the sun with "he" and the moon with "she", so why "Mr. Moon", I have honestly no idea! 😂
For me as a German it works, though, because the genders are swapped in German and for me the Moon is male.. haha!
