A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS: Aunty In Distress.

Life can be unfair and so unfortunate for some people, and that is how my Aunty is feeling right now.

My Aunty has been through so many challenges ever since she got married. Firstly, she got married late, and after that she could not bear children, which we do not yet know who's fault it is, her husband or she.

My Aunt husband has been making the house uncomfortable for her just because she could not bear children for him, and it has been from one abuse or the other. Even when we as a family came to appeal to my aunt husband that he should stop abusing her, but he still didn't listen, he will pretend that he has changed for a while, and all of a sudden start abusing her again.

Today decided that enough was enough, she could not take it any longer. She have decided to leave the house and would only come back if her husband promised to stop the abuse.

She packed only few of her clothes and went away. I was so surprised and shocked when I saw my Aunty sitting on the pavement close to the entrance of our street. I could see the helplessness and pain in her face, she had already been through a lot.

I came to meet her and asked her why she was still sitting there, and she could not help but drop down with tears, I really felt her pain. Aunty told me she had nowhere to go, all her sisters and brothers were all married and staying with their own family, it will be really shameful staying with them when she is supposed to be with her own family.

I still advised her to meet up with her family members and see if they could be of help in finding a place she could stay and recover from this agony. My Aunty agreed and that was how we left there, if not she wanted to stay there all day, which would be very dangerous. I hope she get over all this some day, and be happy again.

Sort:

Shouldn't her family have saved her a long time ago? It should be normal to open the door for her, isn't that what family is for?

I hope Auntie will have a place of her own ASAP.
🍀❤️

Childlessness continues to rip marriages apart in some parts of the world making it seem like procreation is the only reason for marital union.
I pray her family helps her gather the pieces together.

It's a good thing Aunt did not have children with such a violent man!
I wish her a great life.

Thanks for your entry.
