Hello everyone, how y’all doing today? I welcome you all to my blog, my today’s blog is inspired by the chosen topic by the hive-learners community and of course the Week Eight Edition One (w8e1) this edition titled Pollution I found it really interesting and I will be discussing with us the effect of Pollution generally.
Firstly we need to know what Pollution is and the effect of it, in my own term I will simply describe pollution as negative changes in the real nature which affects both living and none living things due to poisonous chemicals in the atmosphere or it is the introduction of harmful materials in our environments which is also harmful for human and other inhabitants.
These materials are known as or can be called pollutants, it can be natural like the volcano ash or created by human daily activities and they can also be called waste or remnants or even runoff produced by some industries and these causes damages on land, water, and air also very harmful for human and other inhabitants of the environment.
Air Pollution And Control Measures. These are caused as a result of bush burning or inappropriate disposal of waste, burning refuse within the environment can cause harm to human and other inhabitants, already the environment is natural, we only have to make use of proper waste disposal and not burning refuses within the environment.
Another Cause Of Pollution is the use of generators, unless you’re not living in this country then you wouldn’t know what air pollution means and the causes, generators and vehicles are also one of the causes of air pollution in our country. (Control Measures,) for instance, if 100 people living in a given geographical area have cars and all of them drives their cars daily why won’t there be air pollution? But if at least they have 50 people conveying others to their desired destinations the pollution will reduce because there are not much cars operating, that’s how we can reduce the air pollution daily and for those using generators it is because there’s not steady electricity and people must use electric in their homes else heat wouldn’t let sleep nor rest and it kills as so if there will be steady electricity in my country trust me the air pollution will reduce drastically. Now that you know about air pollution and control measures I will talk about the land and water all together.
Land And Water Pollution, this is also common both in the Urban and rural areas, the cutting of trees can be very dangerous to a particular environment, for instance if there are no trees around the environment the air becomes very hot and contaminated, you can’t take in air freely without struggling, is like when they spray teargas in the air and also cutting of trees can result to severe erosions and landslides so we must stop the cutting of trees instead we should plant more trees within the environment for the air to be clean and also reduce the toxic airborne and other air pollutants. Water pollution can also be caused as a result of Oil leakages and spills and waste-water or even the industrial waste, these are the major water pollutions and for this to stop every factory must have what they call ditch where all the waste will pass through and all the waste from household can be dumped.
