How to make your cooking pots shine effortlessly /Tutorial

in #hive-1896412 years ago

Many of the products for degreasing and cleaning kitchen utensils are aggressive and emanate strong odors. If you are allergic to these commercial products, cleaning is difficult. Luckily there are alternatives with natural products that are less abrasive to the skin and respiratory tract.

Today I want to share my secret to degrease and remove scale from pans and leave them as good as new.

In the kitchen, the heat of the stove makes it easier for oil and grease to polymerize. It is a process where oil molecules dehydrate to the point of forming a gummy layer that sticks to stoves and pans. If not attacked in time, this layer becomes very difficult to remove making our cooking pots ugly.

On the internet there is an infinity of tricks to remove this layer of grease from the simplest to the most unusual. Among so many options, I once tried cleaning my pots with three ingredients that are never missing at home and believe me, it was so effective that I have several years doing this, and I always have my pots like new.

To make your pots shine without much effort, you just need:
Baking soda
Lemon
White vinegar
Dishwashing sponge

Directions

Step 1

Take 1 lemon and cut it in half.

Step 2

Soak the lemon with the baking soda.

Step 3

Rub well all over the outside and inside of the cooling pot.

Step 4

When you see the baking soda start to fizz, it means it is releasing oxygen. This oxygen will remove the grease and some of the scale.

Step 5

Let the pot stand with the baking soda for half an hour.

Step 6

Wash the pot with a sponge and if some traces remain, repeat the operation.

Step 7

If the scale inside the pot is very resistant, add a cup of white vinegar to the pot and place over medium heat.

Step 8

When the vinegar is hot, rub it over the parts with scale. So that you don't burn yourself, prick the sponge with a fork and rub it over the scale.

Rinse with plenty of water, and that's it.

These three ingredients are simple but powerful cleaners thanks to chemical reactions.

When baking soda is moistened it releases oxygen, and when combined with lemon it also releases hydrogen. These are two molecules that release a small amount of exothermic energy capable of removing polymerized grease.

Likewise, vinegar when heated releases hydrogen. In contact with metal surfaces with scale it causes depolarization and the adhered scale molecules are loosened.

Hello @belkyscabrera,

Yes, vinegar is wonderful for many things around the house. I am allergic to some cleaning products and have had to look for alternatives. When I found this I thought it sounded great.
