The best way to celebrate the birthday of the Cinnamon Cup Coffee community is with a good cup of coffee. But if the coffee is freshly roasted, this becomes a sublime experience not only for the aromas that invade the place but also for the experience of watching the transformation of the green coffee beans into black pearls full of delicious flavors.
In the last few months, a brand of coffee has gained my preference. "Bean to Bean" is a coffee brand that offers a wide variety of high-quality coffee beans. They also have a line of specialty coffee. Their blends are exquisite.
Every time I'm in front of a shelf of this coffee it's hard for me to choose which one to take home. You might think that choosing several packages is the solution, but with so much variety, it is like being in a candy store and not knowing what to do.
This coffee brand is characterized by producing limited quantities since its main objective is to offer freshly roasted coffee beans. Its packages have the roasting date printed on them, and the recommendation is to consume it before the 15 days are up. So getting a pack of these beans is a matter of luck 😄.
Today I had the opportunity to have a coffee prepared with freshly roasted beans in a magnificent "portable roaster". This baby only roasts 6 pounds of coffee with wonderful results as it can be programmed to roast beans at 175ªC and also at 190ªC. You can roast the coffee to different degrees depending on the time of exposure to heat. You can program roasting times from 5 minutes to 10 minutes. Can you imagine the infinite number of combinations that can be obtained? And let's not talk about the variety of beans. The tasting of freshly roasted coffee can become a journey of several days 😆.
It is amazing how a small hopper and some heat can give us aromas and flavors in just a few minutes.
Once the coffee beans were cooled, they went to the grinder to be tasted by all present. This was a glorious moment 😃.
My husband and I were able to taste a delicious espresso and latte. Both, despite coming from the same roasted beans, had particular flavors that made them unique.
I could not go home without taking home a package of this delicious coffee. I chose a blend of Arabica coffee beans of the Caturra and Catuai varieties grown at 1600 meters above sea level. These beans have a medium-high roast.
Upon opening the package, small, round, shiny coffee beans sprang out, crying out to be ground.
One of the things I like about this brand is that they know their product thoroughly, and they reflect this on the package label. On the back of the package, you will find suggestions on how to filter the different types of coffee. This package I bought had the filtering mode and suggested amounts to get the best cup of coffee with all its attributes.
As soon as the coffee began to filter, the cup was filled with an aromatic cream. The desire to drink the coffee grew with every drop.
The result was a full-bodied espresso with red fruits and chocolate flavor. It was a fantastic experience for my taste buds and smell.
I hope there will be many more!
