Hello Hive People and Hike Friends
How are you doing?
If you follow my blog, you probably notice I'm again in Bad Bertrich. Last time, we didn't walk the Waterfall tour, which was Germany's most beautiful hiking tour in 2023. So we did a day trip to Bad Bertrich and walked to the waterfall.
The hiking duration time is a bit misleading because we did two breaks. One break for a snack directly beside the waterfall and another one as we found the Maischquelle, a place where the local fire department left some cold drinks for the hikers.
Klidinger Waterfall Tour
This tour is so beautiful and fun to walk, while also exhausting. You get it all, wood, hills, rocks, and water. Even the weather was perfect. Hiking uphill was tiring but you will notice the altitude difference on the descent at the latest. We could sit directly beside the waterfall because there was not much water coming down. If it had rained the days before we couldn't have done that.

This is Germany's most beautiful hiking tour in 2023 and I agree. Here are some impressions from the tour. The photos are in the order I took them.
This little climbing guy starts the short tiring part uphill to the waterfall. Even though we went uphill constantly, it has become serious from here. Unfortunately, the photos can't deliver the height or deeps and it doesn't look that wild, but it was.
We arrived at the top of the waterfall. The little blue point in the last photo is a man sitting there where we went too to have a picnic.
A little bit of shadow photo action.

This sign made us laugh so hard and we discussed why someone would even poop there.
I still wonder what would happen if someone did the #dailydook here.
- Will you be arrested?
- Will you be shot?
- Will you be quartered?
- Are you being fed to the pigs?
Comment what you think or would do!
Then we found Lippi, a guy who lived in the cave. There was a bit of historical background but as far as I understood, it was just stories from grandmothers given to the kids. There was a female author who wrote about it and then the village decided to make a movie about it.
Another fun and refreshing surprise was waiting for us. We didn't know that the Maischquelle holds some cold drinks for us. I took a beer or two. You grab a drink and pay whatever you want in the little red box at the side.
And further downhill. We felt our knees and thighs at this point.
I have to say that even though it was exhausting and we felt some pain, it wasn't as bad as the hike where I walked over 20km or the hikes we did on the 4-day trip to the Lieser Pfad. I'm happy with it.
Thanks for reading, voting, and commenting guys.
