Good day, amazing people of the hive block chain, Welcome back to my blog. is another edition of the #hivenaija weekly prompts. The topics are really amazing.
It is very nice to extend help to people who are in need of it. My mom will always tell me to always extend a hand of help to people who need it because you can never tell what the future holds if there is something I learned from my parents: extending a hand of help to the needy. I understand that the world is not good, but that should not stop us from helping people.
Even the holy book made us aware of how important it is to extend a hand of help to the needy. I have been helped by many people on this journey of life. That is why whenever I see someone who needs my help, I do that without a second thought because it is the right thing I should do.
The last thing I will do is turn down someone who comes to me for help. I will not feel comfortable if I decline not helping the person
In one of the cases, I extended help twas in need of it.
I was on a hot afternoon after a lecture on my way home when I met this young girl, who walked up to me crying and asking for help. I was like, Calm down and explain to me so that I will know how I will be of help, but she was not ready to speak up, probably because she is finding it hard to talk or maybe she is in shock or dramatic. At that point, I was really worried this young girl needed my help but didn’t know how to speak up. I need her to be comfortable with me.
I took her to an eatery so that she could easily talk to me. I gave her food to eat. She rushed the food like someone who had not eaten for days after the meal. She told me that she got admission, but she doesn’t have accommodations. She has been sleeping in the lecture room. She was attacked last night, but she managed to escape the bad guys. I was so moved at this point, knowing how risky it was for a young person to sleep in a lecture hall.
I don’t need a prophet to tell me that she ended my life. I offer to accommodate her. You need to see how happy she was about kneeling down to show how grateful she was. I have to stop her from doing that. I was so happy that I was able to put a smile on her face. I was so happy I was able to help. I remember having been in this situation before. It was someone who helped me out.
I am very happy whenever I help someone in need. It is important to always extend help to the needy. We should not only be people who want others to help us, but we can never help people who come to us for help.
This is my entry for the weekly prompt #hivenaija.
