Conspiracy theory is an act of people playing with your psychology or your mental health. A conspiracy can really be dangerous to humans. I have seen a situation where one wants to go to jail because of conspiracy theory.
Coming across today, I have to sit and think about all the conspiracy theories my parents and my elders told me when I was growing up. They made me believe so much in those theories, like the will always say what a child sees when calming up the tree and the elder will see it when sitting. I think our parents and elders have reasons why they have to come up with such conspiracy theories. Probably a way of giving us good morals and putting fear inside us.
There is no individual whose parents didn’t use conspiracy theory to train. One thing about this conspiracy theory is that it helps put kids on track. I can remember my mom flogging me about a particular thing, but the moment she came up with a conspiracy theory, I stopped that act due to the fear of the theory.
One of the conspiracy theories was that you should never bend down to peep in between your legs in the market place that one’s you do that you will see a ghost or spirit. Probably the ghost or spirit will give you a heavy knock, and there is intimacy that you will not survive the knock from the ghost.
I grew up with this main set; the way my mom told me this conspiracy theory, I so much believed her, and it even put fear inside me whenever I go to the market. I am always cautious, and I will make sure that nothing will ever make me bend down, not to mention peeping under my legs.
On many occasions I have gone to the market, and I see small children peeping under their legs. Each time I ask my mom what will happen to them, she says the ghost will surely give them a knock.
How do I get to learn about it?
My mom told me that anything I bend down in the market and peep in between my legs, I will see a ghost. On several occasions, I have seen people peeping in between their legs, and I didn’t see any ghost giving them a knock. That day, I decided to peep in between my two legs to know if a ghost would give me a knock, but I did see any ghost giving me a knock.
When I got home, I was thinking, Why did my mom have to tell me each conspiracy theory? I got to understand that she was using that mean to teach me some morals. Most times, conspiracy theory is good because it will help to put the child on the right track.
Growing up, I got to understand that not everything that a child did that you will flog a child conspiracy theory can go a long way in putting a child on the right track.
How dangerous can conspiracy theories be to society at large?
Believe me, it will really be bad for society because the information is fake; there is nothing that spreads very fast, like lack of information. One fake piece of information is really to destroy a nation and society. I understand the fact of using conspiracy theories, but there are many other ways to teach morals.
