Hello CineTV
There are bad movies and then there are stinkers that stick in your memory. I do have to admit, that some movies are probably just not made for me and my tastes and that someone out there really enjoys it. I appreciate everyone's measured responses in regards to their least favorite movie. I find this topic is much more difficult than picking a favorite in a category.
There were many great entries to this contest and it was difficult but I really want to get to the winners.
First Place
With our first place entry, @kemmyb describes the movie Crimes of the Future, here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@kemmyb/cinetv-contest-26-crimes-of.
The review of this film makes it seem distasteful and gross and the images are terrible as well. While I am sure someone out there enjoyed this film, it loos utterly awful and I will not be adding it to my watch list. Thanks!
Second place
In second place, @flquin shared a movie about a quadriplegic trying to get lucky in their review here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@flquin/cinetv-contest-worst-movie-youve-seen-eng-esp
I have no doubt that there are people in this situation in life and it is tragic to not have a normal existence and relationships but a movie about it is not one that sounds appealing. Some may find it offensive to criticize a movie about someone's journey like this but I think it was a good review and a good choice as a terrible movie.
Third place
The third place prize goes to @zonadigital21, with a review of the musical Cats, here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@zonadigital21/cinetv-contest-the-musical-that-never-ends-the-worst-movie-ive-ever-seen-engesp
I have always found it such a weird concept to have humans look like cats and to have them sing about their experiences. This review resonated with me because I never understood how this would be appealing. I'm sure that could be an unpopular take but I have to agree with this review and choice.
Congrats!
225 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.
Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!
And let's move on to the new contest!
Your Favorite Movie Score or Soundtrack
Write about Your Favorite Movie Score or Soundtrack
First off, I want to thank @ecency for their continued sponsorship of our CineTV contests! Check out https://ecency.com/ to see what they are all about.
On to the contest! A moving piece of classical music, a favorite well timed nostalgic song from the past, or maybe a romantic piece during a very dramatic scene, all of these are examples of music in movies that move us and add emotion to films. There is nothing like hearing a song or a piece of music to take you right back to a scene or reminding us where we were when we heard it. This week we are looking to capture that feeling in this contest.
Share with us a movie score or soundtrack from a movie that resonated with you, moved you, stuck with you, etc. Write about how that music enhanced the film, why it meant so much to you and what emotion it evokes when you hear it today. Be creative and original. A great post will have personal stories and detail that only you can bring to it. I very much look forward to hearing about the music from movies that have a special place in your heart.
