Learned what I don't know, to stay afloat.

There's always a time to start. Everything we are today and what we do, or what we are doing, started one day, and it grew into what we do at all times. This is my first post on minimalists. Today is that day. I'm glad

I love groundnut to my marrow

My, oh my, I've never come across anyone who eats groundnut the way I do. Sometimes, I would naked myself before the mirror and check every part; maybe there's a hidden groundnut growth on my body. Honestly, if by any chance plants grow on the body, my entire being would be a groundnut plantation. Also, if every human were to transform into an animal based on what they consumed, I would become a squirrel. Can you imagine that? A prey to coyotes, cats, dogs, and hawks
!!!!! 🙆

The way the price of goods and commodities skyrocketed in this region has made me change the way I live my life with many things, of which groundnut is not an exception. In fact, I can say it carries a lot of weight. When things started getting expensive, I was still having a good time with my groundnut, until one morning. What I bought at #50 became #100, plus a reduction in quantity and quality

Phew! I couldn't believe my eyes. But what can I do? I had no choice but to buy it that morning. So instead of buying 300 naira, I doubled it.

This is the time for me to think. I soliloquized. I eat this nut a lot, and the price has doubled, followed by a decrease in quantity and quality. There's always a way

I followed the steps of a retailer.

If I continue buying groundnut in pieces, I would end up spending a lot of money that's meant for other things. That would be a silly and uncalculated way of living. To prevent that, I hooped to YouTube, watched the video of how to fry groundnut, and, I mastered it

The following day, I went to the market, bought fresh groundnut, and fried it for my consumption. When I quantified what I was able to get from what I fried myself, the difference was clear. All this while, I've been wasting money on pieces. I get multiple folds now at a cheaper rate since I prepare it myself, plus I fry to my taste. What I spend on groundnut is reduced, and I get more quality and quantity. It cannot be any better

Frying the groundnut

I Peeled and preserved it in bottles

Though the steps involved in frying , and the peeling process seems tasking, the minimalistic way has proven to be the best in term of cost cut, and getting the best taste as I desire.

What do I actually use groundnut for?

I'm a large consumer. I love taking pap, and my best snack with it is groundnut. What about Garri? That's always my afternoon meal. The fastest meal ever. I also love it with cucumba and what we call "bolle" or "bolli." Groundnut soup is staring at me in the corner too. It's delicious with any swallow. Even rice would love to align with it. Lol

So far, so good. I've fried my groundnut to reduce the cost of buying from the vendor, and believe me, it's the best

Thanks for reading.
This is the laughing gas.
One love

In case you are thinking of giving me something, please, I don't want a squirrel. My groundnut would be in danger 😂

That's very nice and a way for you to reduce the money spent on buying pieces outside. Going to youtu.be to learn and practice is an interesting approach. Well done.

Hey there! Please take a moment to read what this community is about. If it's worth taking the time to write a post, it's worth making sure you post it to the most appropriate community.

While we appreciate a good bargain, we fail to see how your story relates to actual minimalism. Consider communities like Nutritious Food, Market Friday or LeoFinance, even, as they would be more suited to this type of post.

Please keep that in mind when writing in the future, and only think of us when addressing topics relating to actual minimalism. Thank you. That being said...

Oh! I'm sorry. I appreciate your feedback. More scrutiny before posting next time. Thanks a great deal.

Garri is the best meal we have ever received from nature. Fast, reliable, portable, and sweet and nutritious as well.

I like the fact that you took it upon yourself to learn this skill.

Though not a huge fan of groundnut, I love it what you did here.

Garri would forever remain our saviour even though baba made the price to skyrocket. Thanks. One love

this baba is always baba-ing.
