Hi fellow Car Enthusiasts,
Today I'm long overdue for a car show and a post in Planet Auto!
Car Show Walk
With the coming of the nice weather here in New England, that also means the great things like car shows! I learned of this car show recently and it wasn't very crazy or formal but I knew that I wanted to go and bring the little man so we could check out some pretty awesome cars!
I'm also excited to finally get to post something car related in the epic Planet Auto community! I don't know if I've gotten to stop by here even though I love chatting with Annabelle and Ben! Fixed that issue :D
This car show as cool because it was a bit of a mixture. There were the awesome older cars from the 60's and 70's but there were a few newer cars like these 2 white ones here. They were some sweet turbo charged Hyundai models and it made me miss having to sell my old turbo but alas, can't focus on that too much lol
Thankfully there was a pretty good crowd! It was beautiful weather, slightly chilly but great to have a nice car meet without it being too hot and the little man getting cranky and needing to leave. There were all kinds of cars that's for sure, little bit for any type of enthusiast!
I had a lot of fun seeing all of the crazy different kinds of engines and stuff that's for sure! Lots of the people here knew far more about this than I did so it was cool to listen to them talk about it all. I certainly learned a thing or two!
This one was the rarest car there I think. It was an old Jaguar v12. The thing was pretty awesome that's for sure! The guy that owned it is the original owner which is what I love about these car shows.
The guys, and gals of course too, are often times older and when you get to see original owners of cars like this that's really something special. I would love to be able to get my hands on something and keep it my whole life. Sadly though, that's not in the cards for us lol we need to use what we have. Good to see it though!
The Nova here was definitely one of my favorites! I don't know what it is about the Nova but it's one of my favorites of the classic muscle cars!
The guy took great care of it as well. Boy did the thing sound awesome! You could just hear the pure muscle out of that thing, it was at like 400 horse power or something. Pure engine and you could certainly hear it out of the mufflers!
These guys here had a pretty awesome Camaro SS, I think one of the most popular of the muscle cars and most widely owned. I can't confirm that but I very often see the Camaro's all over the place, for good reason for sure. The thing was a beast! He swapped the motor and put in this 383 here and it puts down 500 horsepower to the wheels. That's some crazy shit!
The blue one here was the little mans favorite he told me. I think that was cool that he looked at all the cars and picked out his favorite. It was partially because blue is his favorite color at the moment lol but I'm sure he had other motivations as well!
This one here was definitely a badass. I love these really old corvettes! I don't know what year this one was but we had a neighbor that had a 54 corvette and the thing looked similar to this, with some differences but man were those things a beast!
It was definitely an awesome day for the mini car show and one that we will try to catch a few more times this summer! I hear they do this weekly in the summertime so we will definitely be stopping by!
