Leafy River Walk

I'm really glad that I took these photos.. because it's sadly been a few weeks since I took them but most of the leaves are now gone!

Life gets ahead of us sometimes, and we end up not being able to do a lot of the things that we aim to do. Thankfully I do make it a point sometimes to just spend 15 or 20 minutes to do something like go for a walk along this beautiful river. What ended up happening is we got busy with other things that we needed to do, and we didn't end up going back to this spot, but now sadly all the leaves are pretty much gone!

That is one of the interesting things about autumn and spring time. It is beautiful, has lots of wonder but it is fairly short in terms of the peak beauty of it. There is much more time spent in summertime and winter time where things aren't as intensely beautiful. Yes summer and winter definitely have their beauty to it, don't get me wrong but they seem to last longer, because the period of time which we are anticipating has other meanings for it.

Autumn is definitely a time of comfortable weather but for people who live in the area that I do, it is more about the beauty of the season. That beauty only lasts for a couple weeks before it gets taken away by the remaining time of the season before it flips to winter. Similar things can be said of spring, where the wonderful blossoms and blooms only lasts for a few short weeks before it flips into full growth of summer.

I think just seeing it as this is a good and important thing. When we are able to see a short window where we can appreciate something, then we can find more time in our lives to take a step back. With the autumn season, I have definitely grown to appreciate it more and more over the last few years. When we are a young adult, we are naturally focused on far different things like work, other people around us and our significant others. When we get to a point where some of those things line up in a good way, we can slow down a little bit.

I think this slowing down is really important for everybody to be able to do. A lot of people will never get that opportunity for various reasons which is also quite sad. We live in a wonderful time in so many ways, but we also live in a brutal time. We have the ability to really flourish as modern people, where we truly don't have to worry about starvation of society because of a bad crop from a farm across the side of town. We have sick fucks who control people through power intentionally, but the underlying issue of food being unavailable is not something we know of, compared to 150 years ago.

I think one of the things that I partake in these walks, and taking a look at the pictures later is to do some personal and holistic reflection. It's really important for us to have this ability for our mental faculties to do these things.

It is also the spirit of autumn, with leaves changing. Plants dying. It is the withering of the life cycle, in preparation for death. Are we symbolically at that withering phase, with an upcoming death? The issue with the death phase is it's painful, but it also leads to the rebirth phase. The rebirth phase is wonderful and beautiful. We could also be at the death stage right now, and getting on the verge of the rebirth which is also a fascinating thought!

Haha not yet.. But it's weekend soon so I will probably out wandering and chilling. :)

That's great I'm glad you're going to get a chance to get out!

The leaves around us held on a bit longer than I expected, but they are finally mostly down. At least around my house. I have a feeling the neighbors are all going to blow into my yard!

Yeah the leaves are largely gone from my area now as well lol. It's sad but that's how it goes!

Such beautiful warm fall colors, sadly here most of the leaves have fallen as well

Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day

Yeah for sure the leaves are gone as well! I'm glad I got this walk when I did, it's not possible anymore haha

How beautiful the leaves of the trees are.

Thanks they were beautiful!

At least you are able to take some photos of the area around the river, so you compare the scenery in the winter, or the other season. I believe each season has its own beautify, although they are pretty fast I think.

Thanks man! Yeah I enjoyed for sure the opportunity to get the walk in. Now next up is when it snows!

Well said! Both spring and autumn are short seasons which is quite similar to a dawn and dusk, in that they last for a relatively short period of time. I think such moments are the best time for reflecting on what has happened, integrate the lessons learnt, and prepare for what's about to come.
Love the picture shots, they look so wonderful :)

Indeed I agree man! That's such a good way to think of it! The sunrise and sunset is a beautiful and short time but it allows us to appreciate the day and night for they both have their own benefits. Glad you enjoyed the photos :D

Lovely autumn colours and ambiance. The river walk is very special. So nice to be surrounded by beautiful nature.

Thanks! Yeah I agree it was a wonderful place for sure!

I like the very nice pictures

Thanks!
