Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share a few photos in black and white of the recent beach adventure we took due to some fair weather!
Seaside Monochrome Monday
The ocean is certainly one of those places that we have to visit every few weeks even in the wintertime!
We had a nice bit of weather a few weeks ago and we had things to do. We said screw it, let's go to the beach! We know that we aren't going to get many of those days during the winter, so when we got one we made sure that we would be going. It's a nice refreshing way to get some sun, vitamins and some really clean and fresh air.
The patches of weather that end up being really warm and comfortable while we are in cold times of year is a really fun and nice thing to get every so often. It's like being able to fly somewhere a few hundred miles south to enjoy some sun and outdoor time, except that we don't have to do that at all! A nice break in what can become a challenging time for people mentally, the winter.
I don't find it as difficult as my wife does, but I can certainly appreciate being able to take the sweatshirt off and sit in the really warm sun and soak up some rays. Getting our feet in the sand, which is in contact with the earth is also incredibly powerful and healthy. It's a whole health trend that's been going on for the last 10 or 15 years called Grounding. We've gotten into that and really have taken it quite far in our daily lives!
With the little window of weather, we decided we'd head a little further north since we were going to the beach. We had an area that we wanted to visit for a few reasons, and although it is a longer drive, we made the trip as it was certainly worth it. The really annoying thing about this area though is the parking is a lot more difficult than it is in the other beaches that we like to frequent so that was lame lol.
I jumped at the chance to get some photos though! I don't have many photos from the last several weeks due to our various schedules and things we've got going on. It makes it challenging when I like to try and get some different photos together for things like monochrome Monday here but I make due with what I've got.
I really love the ocean water and rocks when they are turned into black and white. It makes it for something quite a bit more interesting than it is in color I think! It's a dramatic and deep thing to look at, in many senses of the word.
