Soon we will unveil the 17th borehole, which will add to the transformative project by Hive. It's been a great, life-changing journey since the Hive Empowers Communities Project began. So far, about 14 communities have already benefited, with Nsuta Kwagyei being the latest addition, where the 17th borehole project is ongoing. Project work always undergoes three phases, and last week we completed the first phase successfully, which involved drilling and mechanization.
We have seen a lot of progress this week with phase 2. This phase focuses on structural development, where the project takes a new shape. The construction work entails excavation, wall construction, piping, tiling, and electrical works. These tasks are almost complete, and we hope to bring the entire project to a close soon. We look forward to having the launch ceremony before the work concludes.
The work has seen steady progress, and all thanks to the wonderful team we have worked with since the project planning began. Additionally, the community support has been instrumental in this worthy cause. The Chief of the town and the entire community are overjoyed at the upcoming unveiling of the water facility. This project will indeed help change the previous challenges of accessing water in the community.
We are happy with the water flow, which looks very clean and safe for both drinking and other domestic purposes. Even while work was ongoing, some residents stopped by to fetch water for their use, and the masons also relied on the water source for their work. Plans are underway for the launch, which will mark the final phase of the project. The Chief and community leaders are putting their best efforts into ensuring that the launch event becomes memorable.
