Yesterday, in the town of Kanvili Kukuo, we celebrated another achievement, made possible by the Hive ecosystem. This marks the inauguration of the third Hive borehole this year, adding to the existing boreholes and bringing the total to 11. This journey has been one of significant impact, education, and exposure. Through these projects, lives have been transformed as we have been able to provide access to clean drinking water in communities where we've constructed the Hive mechanized boreholes.
Kanvili Kukuo, a big village and suburd of Temale. The town has faced challenges in accessing clean drinking water. Residents have relied on river sources but they have proved unreliable due to the low rainfall in the region. In dry seasons, these water bodies often dried up, and this compels residents to seek alternative water sources, such as purchasing water from motorbike riders who transports it to the area.
The Hive mechanized borheole, has lighten up and and brought hope to the village. While only one may not fully meet the needs of the big village, it serves as a valuable source of clean water accessible to many town dwellers. The project work was smooth, it began with the first and second phases, encompassing drilling and construction work. Yesterday, we have completed all project work phases with the inaugural ceremony, which forms the last phase.
This final phase is pivotal, as it unveils the new project and makes it ready for community use. The phase also provides us with an opportunity to raise awareness about Hive and its many impacts in Ghana and beyond. The event began at 10:00 am, starting with a gathering that brought together the chief, elders, and residents of the town. The launch event is always a brief ceremony but provides a platform for both town leaders and the Hive team to address the local community.
By using the media, we are always able to capture the various addresses and share them with the rest of Ghanaians and the world. Beginning the ceremony, the chief gave his address and expressed his gratitude to the Hive ecosystem for the honor of providing his town with a water facility. The Hive team also conveyed their appreciation to the leaders and the community for the warm reception they received and for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the region.
This became an avenue to give Hive exposure highlighed all the positive impacts of Hive in Ghana and around the world. Although Kanvili Kukuo has many challenges but this projects has been a big solution to one of their challenges and has exceeded their expectation. After unveiling the new borehole, both the leaders and the residents of Kanvili Kukuo began to fetch and drink the water for the first time, while women with their basins also started collecting water for their needs.
The event received coverage from local television stations and will be broadcast on their various platforms. Additionally, we have several other networks that will share this beautiful story. This project has truly had a significant impact, and we are happy with its outcomes and how it presents the Hive blockchain to the world as a revolutionary technology.
We are glad to see this progress made and the successful launch.
