Greetings
This is our weekly showcase where we highlight posts in this community shared here in the last seven days. These are the posts that have impressed us at COM the most.
Now, let's get into this week's showcase.
@diebitch - Top 8 signs you're not funny
Have you ever brought yourself to forcibly laugh at your boss when it is performance appraisal season?
Have you managed a weak smile at your father-in-law's attempts at humour?
Have you gone out on a date with a really hot person who says something and has to tell you that it was a joke?
This means you have been in contact with someone who is not funny. But, unfortunately they cannot diagnose their illness. Until now.
Here are some doctor-approved (of anthropology) signs that you might not be funny.
To sag that this was shared in the comedy community is not just ironic but very much needed, at least the other COM authors will get to know if they are really comedians or not. Educative COM post!

@davidbright - My Comedic Adventure with OCD
What prompted this post was because of what happened to me recently. I am still mad at myself for not listening to that inner voice that told me not to go. I wasted my money, time and energy going back to the office three times because I thought I didn't lock the doors and I didn't carry the generator inside. I couldn't tell anybody this because I know how much they would laugh at me.
Anyone would have thought that such is a name of a disease, a lot will fall for the trick bait in this COM post title. Interesting read about his OCD symptoms.

@princessbusayo - Chronicles of a Nigerian Youth Corper ~ Life of Princessbusayo.
I signed this and I must endure till the end. I have always wanted to experience life at the orientation camp as people would narrate their experiences, the sweet and the bitter ones. I also wanted to have a taste and feel what it looks like to be a Corper. Mind you, this camp activities is compulsory for all corpers which only last for 21 days before we are posted to where we would work for the next 10-11 months, except in some cases where some persons would buy their way in avoiding the activities and the pregnant ones as they would be permitted to sit back so as not to stress their condition. I have seen hell in my 10 days in the camp and I feel like going back to my father's house and telling him I am no longer serving my country.
She dreamed about it, she wished for it to come to pass, it has come to pass and now she's wishing to go back home... Chronicles indeed.

@gone-hive - PUBLIC EMBARRASSMENT CHRONICLES
From your stomach rumbling in the presence of everyone to mistakenly farting loudly in a quiet space or that one time catarrh came out of your nose unprovoked when you were talking to your crush.
These were moments when I felt I should vanish into tiny air or turn into a flying creature for at least 24 hours. But Life has to move on, just like Black Sherif said “Of course, I fucked up, who hasn’t fucked up, hands in the air”- NO HANDS!!
Everyone's got their own fair share of embarrassment but you'd love to read this author's own side of his story about embarrassment, it's an hilarious one.

@coliva - Thunder Spark
I saw the weather change and it didn't give any signal of a thunder spark, as the man was still popping his mouth of how strong he was, the thunder spark on the sky, you want to see the way he run, he nearly broke all the bottles of beer in the tavern, and it was just him alone who took that hilarious cover, other people were still sipping their bottle of beer, I guess those who didn't take cover where highly drunk and it makes them not to notice what was going on.
When bragging goes wrong! This COM post is funny with imaginative scenes that would crack you up especially with the drunken character narrated in it.

@stevewealth - We were smart but Mum was smarter.
On that faithful day mum purposely left her handset as they call it, and came back like 30mins later to pick it. It seems she was already suspecting that we were using the generator when they go out for work because of the way the fuel finishes fast these days.
Trust children, we made sure all the outside lights were off, when we heard a nock on the gate I was the small one then so I was sent to go check it out, on discovering it was mum, I ran back to the house to signal my elder ones who quickly went to off the generator, but mum's suspicion was already high, when she came inside the house she was looking at our faces as to find out what we were doing hehe, but trust boys, instead of us to tell her make heaven come down hehe.
The mum played a really smart one on them, the former smart ones. It's funny how they were so thorough but their mum was even more thorough to catch them.
