Week #200: Three things I recently owned and would love to dispose of

There are so many benefits to disposing of items you no longer want under your care. Sporadically, it may be the fact that you don't want those items, or you want them, but someone needs them badly, or they are not in good shape. Some people love giving those items out in exchange for money, while others would love to give them out to people who require them (this is where I fall in). I give out things I don't need in my house instead of selling them.

Most times, my brother always comes to my house and sits comfortably, but in his house, I don't sit comfortably just because of the nature of the chairs he has. So, I would decide to give out my chair as I would get a new one. I so much cherish this furniture, but then I had no choice other than to let my younger brother take it for good.

My alternative cell phone is another item I would let go of. This phone is my alternative cell phone. Anytime I have a flat battery, I have to remove my SIM card and insert it into this alternative phone.

I would dispose of it and get a new one, as it would be better. On the other hand, I don't just throw my things out like that; instead, I give them out to those who need them badly. In my doctrine, it is just too bad and a sin to dispose of something you feel someone would need at that moment. The best is to give it out and either get a new one or whatever choice you make.

To me, I would just give it to someone who required it, and in return, I would receive a compliment.

The last item I have presently and would like to dispose of is my flat-screen television. I have found it so old, as newer versions are in place now. So, I would give it out to someone who required it badly. The only one I knew to give it to was my wife's friend. She has been a good friend and someone who always renders help, no matter the situation. So, this kind of person deserves even better than this television.

How would the dismissal of these items change my life?

Disposing of gifts to the right person is the best, as throwing them away cannot and will never help your personal life; instead, it would make you sin against the one you serve.

Those I had given the items to would compliment me and would also pray for me always. Their prayers would affect my life positively, and everyone would look forward to doing something similar to what I had done.

Most people would throw them away and then receive nothing in return. I knew of so many people who would even sell them out to people who needed them. All these would not have a positive effect on one's life.

The fact remains that I would be like a king according to those who received those items. In another way, I would say, I have laid a remarkable image or picture according to the receivers. My children would also live to reap the rewards of what I had done.
