I don't like people being forced to a limit, especially in things they can comfortably afford for themselves. If people can afford one or more than two cars, let them get one. We hustle every day to make life easy for us, so someone trying to put restrictions on our enjoyment triggers negative or positive defenses.
Cars are not the only thing emitting carbon monoxide what of the refineries, what of those oil companies are they going to stop equally
A law that will tell people how many cars they need to own will not be bad, but then it has its advantages and disadvantages, that it will cause to the masses. If there's ever going to be such a law, I hope it will include the government as well because, for this kind of law to work, the government has to equally own just a single car.
In the country where I come from, this kind of law will not hold ground because the highest car owners are government officials aside from entrepreneurs. It is going to take forever, that's if it will ever be passed as a bill for every family to own one car only.
What are the advantages of such a law being passed into the bill?
However, if such a law is even passed, it is going to reduce traffic on the road, especially in places like Lagos. There will no longer be traffic congestion, movement will be free and easier, and places that usually take up to five hours because of traffic might start taking about an hour or two.
There will be more parking spaces, maybe in the mall or the supermarket, and even those small roadside parking spaces will be less congested. I think it's a favor to the government, too; it helps them to plan better and manage transportation infrastructure in the country.
Although it is going to help reduce carbon monoxide emission, safety standards, and order environmental concerns. It's also going to help in the quality of air in the country and reduce noise pollution, and it's going to promote a healthier environment too.
I think it's going to help to know the number of standard registered vehicles on the road, and also it will reduce kidnapping and one-chance activity.
The disadvantages of such a law.
It is going to affect the daily life of some families. Imagine a house of 10, and they are all working but in different directions, and there is only one car that they have; who will drive the car and who won't. What if, in case of emergency and then that one car they have now broke down the family will just be stranded if they are living in an estate where it is hard to get a cab and Uber is not connecting.
Reducing the family to own one car is actually going to be chaotic because the schedules of everybody in the family will no longer be flexible, and some people will no longer be productive.
And then again, it is still not going to stop the emission of carbon monoxide. Let's start from the very source of emission. With all this being said I don't support the government restricting families from having more than one car
