A happy Saturday to all and a great weekend before I start writing about Splinterlands challenge of Social Media Challenge for this week.
So, I hope you are all having a great day as it's also a payday for some of us and others might have already got it yesterday itself.
Here I am going to take you thru my this week's Social Media Challenge post with a battle I am sharing which involves 2 of my all time favorite monsters from Earth splinter as I explain further!!!
This week, I am going to explain about a nice battle which we can say a low MANA cost battle which involves Katrella Gobson and Pelacor Mercenary with Halfling Refugee playing a supporting role in this 21 MANA cost battle.
Let's go and see how this battle unfolded.

The battle, as I mentioned above, was with 21 MANA cost and as there was might makes right which allows monsters with 3 or more power and also another rule set of deflection field means the monsters will be limited and I selected 3 monsters as I explain below.
Lineup:
1. Pelacor Mercenary:
Being a healing tank and monster with retaliate ability, this is by far my favorite monster from Earth splinter for the front position as it is also with good speed of 4 and has 3 melee attack and moreover, it protects the monsters to follow by keep healing itself.
2. Katrella Gobson:
If at all I have any favorite monster from Gladius cards, then, Katrella Gobson stands at top even though many would say Quora Towershead will be their favorite!!!
The reason for this being, although Quora can attack with dual attack types, but that is active only when it is at front position, else it will be like any other monster with single attack.
But Katrella attack twice in each round and that too the backend monsters and more chances of it getting rid of a monster in each round.
In this battle too, it had complete control as it only rmeoved all the 3 monsters used by my opponent!!!!
3. Halfling Refugee:
Used this for any possible sneak attack, but there wasn't one, but this played a supporting role.
The battle was a simple one being like most of low MANA cost battles as this one is with 21 MANA cost and usage of just 3 monsters on either side.
Although the Pelacor Mercenary kept attacking the front monster of opponent i.e. Ever Hungry Skull, but, since it is with huge number of armors, Mercenary couldn't remove it and Katrella Gobson kept on attacking the backend monsters removing them all one after the another even after the resurrection is active for all of those monsters.
Katrella has been my favorite Gladius monster ever since I got the single BCX copy of this monster and although Quora is also there almost maxed out for me, but I still consider Katrella as my favorite based on the number of wins this has given to me and keeps delivering for me day after day and I will be happy to max it out soon and utilize it's extra speed and attack with maxed out monster!!!
My journey on Splinterlands has been nice one so far with me being with Splinterlands since day 1 of the game was introduced in 2019 and I continue to compete in the battles whether it's ranked battles, guild brawl battles and sometimes in the tournaments as well and Splinterlands never disappoints me :)
As we continue to get more good things from the game like Survival mode and expansion to land, the excitement continues with this game and with Conclave Arcana is due for introduction later this year, I am eagerly awaiting for that as the cards we have are fast becoming boring and me without many Rebellion core cards, I always feel it boring nowadays to play with those Chaos Legion and earlier edition cards.
