Hello Friends,
Source
If you are playing splinterlands battles since the beginning, you will agree that, game has evolved more and more over the years and what started as simple card game, has grown up with lots of animations and lots of abilities and rulesets and introduction of tactics summoners in the Rebellion edition, has taken the game into next level as we can witness the base abilities the summoners can offer to monster they summons and now with tactics abilities, One or more monsters can also get additional abilities or buffs and debuffs as we call!!!
This week in Community Engagement Challenge, I will be writing about One of the summoners from these tactics category and also, will share a battle involving the same just to showcase, how these additional abilities will turn the game.
Having said about these tactics summoners, as these are from Rebellion edition and I haven't purchased many Rebellion packs with my Chaos Legion deck maxed out.
So, that means, I had to rent out a Rebellion edition summoner and being defeated by some of the guys with this summoner of Lorkus, I thought of trying it it for 2 days as that is the minimum we can rent out a card.
Stats:
As the stats says, Lorkus is dual splinter summoner which can summon death as well as fire splinter monsters in the same battle and offers +1 melee and magic attack by default and provides those tactics abilities for 2 monsters and those abilities are, either life leech and affliction or trample and fury.
Basically, these summoners from Rebellion edition are far superior and defeating those with earlier edition summoners and monsters combination would need extra talent and strategy and if we climb up Diamond II and Diamond I, we will see that these new summoners rule the game from those Diamond and above leagues.
Battle and Lineup:

As I mentioned above, I would like to share a battle using the newly rented summoner of Lorkus and share some snaps too.
The battle as in above screenshot, had a good 36 MANA cap with healed out, super sneak and odd ones out as rule sets and since, Lorkus allows fire and death splinter monsters and only fire was available to select the monsters and also super sneak ruleset was on, I chose below lineup for this brattle with +1 melee attack anyways available from the summoner.
Lineup:
1. Grum Flameblade:
Used Grum Flameblade at the front as this will get less hits with super sneak rule set on for this battles and allows this monster to hit some blows and bring the bloodlust into action.
2. Radiated Brute:
This monster with enrage ability, can give 8 melee attack in each round and has good speed too to attack early.
The best part of this monster is, he is away from early attack from opponent's monsters unless there will be some retaliate attack.
3. Forgotten One:
The moment super sneak rule set is seen for this battle, I decided to use this monster as he is with retaliate, pierce abilities and gives 7 melee attack in each round.
4. Halfling Refugee:
The MANA cap of 36 means, had to adjust few low MANA cost monsters in thee backend and this 1 cost monster is my new favorite for protecting those Second line monsters by using it either at front or at the backend to make use of it's 6 health at the expense of 1 MANA cost.
5. Venari Heatsmith:
The last monster to cover that 36 MANNA cap and accommodate a monster was this no attack monster of Venari Heatsmith and this monster can throw thorns at the melee attack it gets and it is also with armors which protects it's maiin health.
So, with that lineup, I took on the opponent who had some good monsters with Mantaroth at the front and other monsters as we can see from the above screenshots.
But, with Lorkus offering life leech, couple of monsters Halfling Refugee and Forgotten Hero got to excel further as I chose those 2 to have those additional abilities.
The battle went on for 5 rounds and I lost 2 monsters and opponent's monsters were all wiped out including the mighty Mantaroth and 2 main contributors for me in this win were the Forgotten Hero and Radiated Brute with both utilizing their abilities of retaliate and enrage to the fullest.
Here I share few screenshots from the battle with link to the battle shared above.
That was a good contest between monsters, but the difference I feel, is the summoner Lorkus because, both summoners offered +1 melee attack, but Lorkus had those 2 extra abilities for 2 monsters in life leech8 and affliction and those were the difference I think.
Thanks and Have a good day :)
