Splinterlands Tournaments

Hello Friends,

We have a new community engagement challenge for the week and we have another new and exciting topic to write about.

Yes, it is the topic of tournaments and as we all know, splinterlands conducts 2 types of tournaments.

First one is rather a tournament for individual battles with individuals from other groups in the form of guild brawls and these are normally known as brawl battles.

But the real tournament battles are from the tournaments slinterlands conducts where, the players are divided into multiple groups and each player has to play against the others in the group they play and top few as from each group with some percentage which is decided even before the tournament starts, will move into next round, where, again, they will be into groups and toppers as per the decision taken before will win the prizes mentioned.

The tournaments, if we closely look at details from above picture, we see that there will be some set rules where, they will tell which type of cards can be used, which editions of splinterlands like chaos legion, rebellion or earlier editions like untamed or beta can be used in the battle and they will also mention the requirements to be eligible to enter into the battle like we need to pay dec or sps or we should have this much amount of sps staked to be eligible for the battle and so on.

If we finish in the rewards bracket, we will have a chance to earn either sps or dec or sometimes there will be other tokens also available for grab and many tournaments even will provide monsters or summoners as rewards along with sps.

It's a nice way of earning something extra from splinterlands besides playing in the ranked battles.

Personally, I have not played in many tournaments as I am still learning to battle it out with higher ranked players in ranked battles and it's always a challenge with not leveled up cards and earnings are also less because of staked sps requirement, but that is how it is right now.

Hoping to earn some rewards from blogs and invest it in sps to be eligible for more rewards in the form of glint token to purchase more cards from shop.

If we see in details under a tournament, we can see the details of rewards as we see from above screenshot.

So, a total of 64 players, I mean top 64 players when the tournament finished, will earn sps as mentioned under rewards section and on the left side, we can see the details of the requirements for this tournament.

It's a modern format tournament where, we need to have 30K sps staked and also 604K power in the form of cards total value and it also mentions about the types of cards which can be used in the tournament and in this case, it is the gold cards only.

These battles, as i said, will be a means of extra source of income in the form of mainly sps and will benefit those who have high sps staked and have good number of cards in their account as both will be the requirement to participate in high end tournaments, but, we don't have get disappointment that, it's only for high sps and cards players only.

There are tournaments like the above one, where the the fee is just 50 dec and sps staking and power requirements will also be less and even new players can also participate in such tournaments and if they can take down few top ranked players, they can even win the prizes although the rewards in sps will be less, but, it's a good way to test our skills.

Thanks, i think i don't have anything else to write about these tournaments as my experience with these is less, but i hope i have tried to give some info on these.

have a nice sunday.
