Saturday was a pretty good day overall and I am finding back the joy of it all which is a very good thing. I'm up just over 1 unit so far this week which should be enough to at least guarantee a positive overall week unless I really succeed in screwing it up on the 4 matches today...
Antwerp vs Charleroi
Antwerp seems to be a bit over their top but by no means put up poor performances. They are 3rd in the league with recently a loss against Union and a draw at home against Dender while they needed penalties in a 0-0 match against Kortrijk to reach the next round in the cup. So right now they have a rather hard time to break down teams who put pressure or defend well. They have an A-Sqaud with enough experience but a very poor bench. Charleroi will be fresher with no cup match played but haven't been in the best form in the league with just 1 win in the last 5 matches and only 2 goals scored in those. I do rate them as a better team compared to what their more recent results suggest though. Given the difficulties both teams have to score recently, I see the total line as possibly a bit too high and I don't expect both teams to start with a wide open view. I took an initial 0.25 unit position on
1H Under 1 @ 2.137 with the idea to put it safe at some point hopefully later in the first half. Charleroi has been a poor away team going just 1.5W-5.5L-1P against their handicaps so my lean is on Antwerp but I don't trust it because the possible fatigue.
Cercle Brugge vs Union SG
Cercle Brugge lost to Stvv in the cup after an early red card in a match where Stvv mostly controlled things after they took the lead. Thet still have the 2nd coach taking over for now so I do expect a more or less similar play style. Defender Utkus is suspended which mainly leaves them with less options. They are now in 2nd last place and rank way under their abilities. However, I think this might be a case where firing their coach might do more bad than good and the fans also weren't behind it. Union seems to be more of less back now without a loss in their last 4 league matches while putting up a great performance against Twente and a qualification in the cup against AA Gent. However, they are also the -0.75 away favorite in this match so yeah. They tend to be ok defensively but still not 100% reliable when it comes down to scoring goals. The previous encounter between these teams ended in a 1-3 win for Cercle and many corners. My leans are on 1H over 1 and over in corners but I want to see some kind of confirmation first in the overall match picture before possibly getting in.

Anderlecht vs Beerschot
The trend for Anderlecht tends to be that in matches where they look to be the weaker team they strike on the counter and afterward have an easy time to score more while in matches where they are better they get countered and need to make a comeback. In some matches scoring comes very easily like the cup match at home against Westerlo (4-1) and the home match against AA Gent (6-0) , away against Cercle (0-5), while last week in Leuven it ended in a 0-0 score. Beerschot is still last in the league but they are currently on a remarkable run qualifying in the cup with a 3-2 win over Mechelen after extra time along with a vital 3-2 win over direct rival Cercle Brugge coming back in the 2nd half from 0-2 behind. So the vibe and momentum certainly is there. They aren't as bad compared to the start of the season but overall still are a team that doesn't have enough quality to stay in the league. Especially at home them managed to put in some results actually taking the win against a very poor Anderlecht with 2-1. So it might be somewhat of a revenge factor. A standard line for me in these kinds of matches is -1.5 @ 1.850 which it is just below and given the momentum with Beerschot I'm not really willing to take the gamble. I will just wait and see for this one.

Dender vs Westerlo
Dender is a team not as bad as their recent results suggest and especially when they are in the lead they are very much capable of keeping a good defense. They did not have a mid-week cup match so they should be fresher. Westerlo however rested some key players in the cup match which they lost with a 4-1 score against Anderlecht. I don't see this as a wide-open match where Westerlo is the better team and I split 0.3 units between these bets: 0.1 units on
Dender +0.25 @ 1.870 / 0.1 unit on 1H Under 1.25 @ 1.847 / 0.05 units on Under 2.75 @ 1.970 / 0.05 units on Westerlo Team Total Under 1.5 @ 1.800.
