Hello Everyone,

Splinterlands has introduced some new rulesets some days back and one of those is might makes right.

Might makes right is a ruleset which allows usage of monsters with attack 3 or more whether it is melee attack or magic attack or ranged attack, all monsters with attack 3 or more are only be available for selection in the battle.

As we can see from the image above, it shows about the different attack types with arrow for ranged attack, magic wand for magic attack and that sword for melee attack.

So, I just fought a battle with this new ruleset might makes right and here I am sharing the details as with below with lineup.

Lineup:

For this battle as we see above, 60 mana cost limit was there with might makes right as the only ruleset and all splinters except earth and death were available for use.

The monsters used were as below.

Drybone Barbarian:

The drybone barbarian with rage and retaliate abilities, is a widely used monster for front position as with retaliate, it can remove a monster and rage means, it's 5 attack gets up to 8 and that will be the average health of most of the monsters and a monster can easily be removed with this monster's retaliate action.

Imperial Knight:

Imperial knight is used as a backup front monster as it has no reach ability and cannot attack from second line and with it's healing ability and void magic, it can battle for more rounds.

War Pegasus:

image.png

War pegasus is with 3 ranged attack and has that ability to remove the armors with shatter ability and has good speed to attack early.

Silvershield Sherif:

image.png

Silvershield sherif is also a ranged attack monster and has 4 attack and is a snipe attack monster to attack ranged and magic attack monsters from second line.

It also has pierce ability which enables it to pierce thru the armors and reduces main health if all the armors are removed in same attack.

Captain Katie:

Captain katie i think is most used gladius monsters after quora towershead and that is because it is a magic attack monster and snipe attack one and normally second line monsters will have less health.

Peacebringer:

Peacebringer is from earlier editions and is a good one for 4 mana cost as it will give 3 ranged attack at a good speed of 3 and has average health of 5 for a level 3 monster it is for me.

So, this battle was a good fought one with using water splinter and good monsters, but the usage of captain katie was helpful for me as she removed more than 3 monsters and her placement at fifth position was also helpful to have her when needed against opponent's gladius monster.

That battle demonstrated with the new ruleset might makes right and we are still in early days to understand these new rulesets.

I will be coming back with another ruleset in the next blog.
Thanks.
