I hope you are happy and healthy. Today i will a recipe of kimami seviyan. This delightful dish combines roasted vermicelli with a blend of aromatic spices and nuts resulting in a comforting and indulgent treat. Whether served warm or chilled, Saviyan is a versatile dessert that is sure to please both young and old alike. Here is a simple recipe of seviyan.
Ingredients:
✨ 1 cup vermicelli (Seviyan). ✨ 2 cups water
✨ 1/4 cup sugar
✨ oil
✨ Chopped mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, raisins)
✨ 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder ✨ A few figs and dates
✨ Desiccated coconut

🍁 Start by soaking the figs and dates in warm water.
🍁 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the vermicelli and roast until golden brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Once roasted, set aside.
🍁 In the same pan, heat oil and add green cardamom pods. Then add water along with the soaked figs and dates (with a bit of the soaking water) and nuts, orange food color. Let them cook over low heat until the figs and dates are mashed.
🍁 Once the figs and dates are well mashed, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and stir until dissolved. Add 1 cup water and boil it. Then add the roasted vermicelli to the mixture and cook over low heat.
🍁 Cook the vermicelli in the mixture until it becomes soft and most of the water is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
🍁 Once the vermicelli is cooked, add desiccated coconut and cardamom powder. Mix well.
🍁 Let it simmer for a few more minutes until the flavors are well combined.
🍁 Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
🍁 Garnish with more chopped nuts if desired, and serve warm or cold.
