After a memorable visit to Dalhousie, we decided to spend the next day exploring Khajjiar, a place we had heard much about for its breathtaking beauty. Known as the "Mini Switzerland of India". Khajjiar's beauty and stunning views make it a place you must visit.

Since there was a lot of traffic, we decided to leave for Khajjiar at 8 AM to avoid any problems. Leaving early in the morning helped us avoid traffic jams. However, due to a wrong turn, we ended up at the kala top peak of Dalhousie where trekking takes place. We had to turn back and get on the right road to Khajjiar. The scenery on the way was very beautiful. We reached Khajjiar in 1.5 hours. When we arrived, Khajjiar did not disappoint. The green meadows, surrounded by tall cedar and pine trees, looked like something out of a postcard. Khajjiar Lake, in the middle of the meadows, added to the beautiful scene, reflecting the greenery and the blue sky. It was truly magical and showed why Khajjiar is considered a paradise on Earth.

Khajjiar got its nickname "Mini Switzerland of India" from Willy T. Blazer, a Swiss official, during his visit in 1992. He was so impressed by how much Khajjiar looked like Switzerland that he gave it this name. To mark this, a signboard showing the distance to the Swiss capital, Bern, was put up in Khajjiar.

There are many things to do in Khajjiar. You can walk through the beautiful forests, enjoy a horse ride on the meadows, or simply relax by the lake. For adventure lovers, there are activities like paragliding, zorbing, and trekking. The Khajji Nag Temple, an old temple dedicated to the serpent god Khajji Nag, adds a touch of history and spirituality to the visit.

Our day in Khajjiar was filled with natural beauty, fun activities, and peace. The stunning landscapes and calm environment showed why Khajjiar is called the "Mini Switzerland of India." It’s a perfect place to escape the busy life and enjoy nature. If you ever visit Himachal Pradesh, you must see Khajjiar.Khajjiar’s beauty shows the incredible variety of India’s landscapes, and it truly deserves its nickname. Our trip to this beautiful place will always be a special memory, and we left with moments we will never forget.

On our way back from Khijjar, we stopped at Beeji,s Park. It is a very beautiful place where we clicked photos and learned more about it.We wanted to visit Panchpula Waterfall, but due to time constraints, we only took photos from the outside. Beeji's Park is very large and takes a lot of time to explore.

After taking photos at Beeji's Park, we set off to see the waterfall in Panchpula. On the way, we passed by Dalhousie's number one school and took a picture of it.

As soon as we reached Panchpula, it started raining. The Panchula Waterfall was on a high point, a 15-minute walk away. The path was bad, and the rain made the trek take longer. When we reached the top, the waterfall wasn't very impressive. It will probably look better after the rainy season.

Panchpula is a memorial monument built in commemoration of the revolutionary Sardar Ajit Singh.

After visiting Panchpula Waterfall, we had to return to our hotel due to rain. It was a very enjoyable day for all of us.
Thank you
