The money you Lost: A different perspective

in #hive-1679223 months ago

Don't dwell on the money you've lost. It's a delusion. Let me explain why.

There's money you could have lost or gained, but didn't. You could have profited if you had invested in Bitcoin at its inception, but you didn't. Similarly, you could have lost if you had invested in tulips during the 17th-century bubble, but that wasn't in your lifetime.
We could have won some and lost some, but we rarely keep score of these hypotheticals. Instead, we fixate on the money we believe was rightfully ours.

This fixation is a delusion.

Perhaps it's better to view things as fated. If something was meant to be yours, it would be. This applies to various aspects of life, including who becomes your life partner.

Start valuing your possessions for what they are, not just their monetary worth.

For instance, consider the joy we experience when giving someone a significant upvote on Hive. This ability comes from possessing high Hive Power (HP). One could view this as a possession that generates happiness for others when we convert our fiat currency to Hive Power for upvoting.

It's no longer just about monetary value. It's about the value you choose to prioritize.

I agree. Instead of focusing on what could have been in the past, we should instead focus on the opportunities of the future.

I think everything has a risk. It's up to people to decide what they are comfortable with and sometimes that starts with a plan/research. The risk won't go away but there are things that are riskier and you can avoid those if you want.

Dwelling in the past have a way of affecting growth , it makes the person to become too blind to focus on the future
