Readers, friends and users who are active on the platform, welcome to this new edition of the social media challenge integrated by the spt community! A promotional activity aimed at all those who enjoy the topics related to NFT, gamefi, and Playtoearn projects.
If you are a new user and you don't know the game mechanics yet, here is a short introduction by me Heré so that you can improve your battle knowledge and training.
I appreciate and am pleased to note the hard work that splinterlands proceeds to maintain the increase in players, new updates, and collaborations with third parties that will soon blossom for those who strongly believed in the project.
I am looking forward to the coming updates, this project has been one of the best performing games I have seen when talking about "NFT" projects.
The new reward system integration is leaving a lot to talk about.... It seems to me that it's a good way to even out the reward system and incentivize players to optimize their battle decks.
Let's start the weekly challenge:
The monster selected for this week is housed in the earth sliver, belonging to the "chaos" edition. From my point of view it is a dynamic monster with very good abilities at higher levels, it is not very effective, as it lacks stamina, speed and attack for multiple game situations, although it is very good for battles where the allowed mana is scarce.
Let's discover its history:
Hill Giants live in the Talus Bluffs on the outskirts of the volcano known as the Mountain of Ash. They are nomadic people that travel from hilltop to hilltop following herds of deer and cattle. Though they are intimidating, Hill Giants are typically more far more inquisitive of other cultures and seek to learn from them rather than attack. However, if they need to defend themselves, they attack by ripping boulders from the ground and are able to hurl them up to a mile. The people of Praetoria are glad to have them on their side against the Chaos Legion.
Edition: Untamed.
Rarity: Epic.
Element: Earth.
Attack: Melee.
Abilities: Stun.
Battle strategy
I am in favor of using ranged attack, magic or monsters with speed modifying abilities in the vast majority of my battles. Many will ask why? Because these attacks are rarely slowed down while the battle is taking place. My battle strategy is formulated to keep my attackers in neutral states, should the opportunity arise where they reduce their mobility or attack capabilities.
I think that speed plays a fundamental role in every battle, as it increases the possibility of dodging enemy attacks, even when they can be critical, attacking first can create a certain advantage depending on the rules of the game, and if attacking first I will do my best to occupy that advantage.
Battle rules and mana limit
Lost Legendaries.
Characters of legendary rarity cannot be used in the game.
Target Practice.
All magic damage ranged attack monsters adopt the snipe ability.
30 mana limit
The mana limit is in my favor, as it is high enough to build a good battle team.
Splinter alignment
PRINCE RENNYN
He is a legendary summoner, one of the oldest in all the splinterlands... Extremely powerful for the whole set of equippable skills for the monsters evoked by this character. This summoner increases the speed, ranged attack and health of all allies +1.
It is my favorite summoner because of the set of skills it possesses, mostly for speed. I use it in most of my battles and it is one of my most valuable and treasured cards in my entire collection.
FLESH GOLEM
This character resurrected from the shadows has skills and secrets that allow a high rate of effectiveness and fulfillment of victories in the games where he participates. He is one of the best tanks in the whole sliver, I like to increase his speed and place a second monster with healing properties to take full advantage in the game, the main idea is to hit first and regenerate the most damage received.
BEATRIX IRONHAND
As expected, the rule encourages the placement of ranged attackers, since all of them will adopt the snipe ability temporarily until the end of the game. It is not necessary to mention that the summoner increases the attack of these characters apart from their speed, as I said in the strategy section I like to increase to the maximum the allied speed, since I will be able to dodge hits and attack between the first turns, greatly reducing the chances of victory for the opponent.
BROWNIE
This monster supports increased speed for all opponents, he doesn't attack from his position, but he doesn't really need to attack to show his support with the team, maybe he doesn't have much stamina, but he is one of the strongest and most expensive monsters of my whole team, his ability of increased speed allied to the whole team makes up 60% of effectiveness for my strategy. It is a character that always frequents my game lineups and one of the strongest as far as I'm concerned.
JAVELIN THROWER
As I mentioned before, the characters selected for this occasion would be the ranged attack characters, because of the summoner's ability and the rules of the battlefield, that snipe ability with the excessive speed increase and the increased ranged damage allows these characters to be efficient and radical for all their attacks. This character is another one of my favorite characters with this sliver, I feel like they all support each other and for that reason I can extend a lot of winning streaks with this team.
WOOD NYMPH
This character is in charge of backing up the tank's defense, her speed allows her to dodge a large amount of attacks and the few that are successful, the little Nymph will restore a portion of the damage received, it is a tremendous combination for these levels. Dodge, hit and heal? You don't see that every day! This card considered that it is a fundamental part for the splinter, although there are cards with similar abilities, only this one has the speed and low mana cost that fits for this formation.
HILL GIANT
The occupant of the last square is the monster selected for this week of rest, its position was complementary and defense attitude for the last square, since it cannot attack from that position. The truth is that I don't feel comfortable with this character and I consider that very few times I will be able to use him in my games.
