Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Even a cat has to eat his vegetables! Enjoying a bit of wheat grass...
I hope this week has been treating you well so far — seems like there's a lot to be excited about with the price of our Hive token suddenly taking a steep increase! It would be nice if it actually held above $0.50!
Around here, life has resumed it's normal routine now that the Hoomans have taken down the Christmas tree for the year and the living room is back to its normal appearance.
Nala in the morning sun
At this point, my only real reason for going in there is to see if I can get away with chewing on some of the plants! And that doesn't happen very often because the Hoomans are really good at distinguishing rustling plant sounds out of the background noise. In some instances, humans have hearing that is almost as good as us cats!
Shangri... being pretty!
Since things are back to normal now, the Dad-Hooman and I have been working a little bit more on what we plan to do next, here at Curator Cat HQ.
For starters, have been working on compiling the big annual calendar of ”important dates in the life of cats.” We created one last year and it was a very handy reference for cat lovers who care! We should have the new one done soon and it'll be pinned to the top of the Hive Cats Community.
Smudge getting some post holiday grooming from the Mom-Hooman!
Speaking of the Hive Cats Community, one of the things we have decided we'll start doing — *as part of a broader effort to promote cat related content on Hive — is to highlight worthy cat posts from around our community using @peakd’s new SNAPS short content app. It seems like a really good way to increase visibility!
Are you paying attention?
Life in the house is not quite back to normal yet because the Hoomans still have an extra range and cook top sitting up in the kitchen... because the installer couldn't come out to make it work properly until Thursday.
It's not really a big concern for us cats because we don't get home cooked food very often, but we still think about it because it means there's going to be a stranger clop-clopping around in the house and we don't much like strange Hoomans!
Happy kitties in a basket!
I know the Hoomans will also be happy when that last thing has been taken care of... loose ends are so annoying, don't you think?
For now, however, I'm going to head back into the TV room and enjoy some lap snuggles with the Mom-Hooman, while she watches TV!
We much enjoy sunpuddles whenever we can!
Thanks for coming to visit our little cat blog, and we hope to see you again soon!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
