Wednesday was one of those days when it seemed the sun was determined to drain the life out of anyone who dared to step outside. The sun—an intense, scorching sun—had already risen by 7:00 a.m., and I smiled, thinking I wouldn’t have to feel much of its effects because I wouldn’t be going out today(wednesday). Little did I know that my plans for the day were never going to go as planned.
Since I was set to stay at home, I didn’t bother to get up early to run around as I usually do on my working days. Around 11:00 a.m., however, I got a call from a relative asking me to help her pick up some items and bring them to her house. Her house was on the outskirts of town and very far from the shop where I was supposed to get the items.
When I dressed and stepped outside, I saw how fiercely the sun was blazing, and fear gripped me. I couldn’t just walk into that fiery sun. I searched for an umbrella, but there was none to be found; no one in my compound had one. After giving it much thought, I finally decided to brave the walk outside. And, oh, the sun was so hot, slapping my skin with intense heat. Although there was a breeze, it wasn’t strong enough to counter the sun's effects.

Since the shop was fairly close to my house, I took the back road there, and after buying the items, I boarded a bike to and from the woman’s house. While on the bike, I didn’t feel the sun’s intensity as much as I had when I was walking. The wind rushing past me on the bike somewhat neutralized the sun’s effect, making the journey more bearable.
We’re already in the dry season, and the sun isn’t taking it easy at all. It’s been blazing so high, and everything has dried out, making it seem as if it hasn’t rained at all this year.
How is the weather in your country? Is it very hot and sunny? Tell me, I would like to know.
