Waking up this morning, I decided to write about my views on the performance of the winners of the Vibes week 28 Web3 music competition. It’s crazy because all were outstanding and maybe I should begin from the first-place winner to the sixth place; Since I listened in that order.
This is not in any way to discredit our judges; No. This review is based on how each performance made me feel.
Naturally, I’m endearing to music lovers like me and so it gives me joy when I see people perform songs.

This brings me to @thonykx01 who won first place singing a composition titled Sun and Sunset. Although I didn’t understand his language I enjoyed every bit of this performance. His smile was everything, his confidence was overwhelming and beautiful. He was really enjoying himself and I loved that. This kind of Sound is what I would love to play when I’m meditating or trying to have a nice sleep. Very beautiful work I tell you.
The second-place winner- @isbelhiv02 performed Chandelier by Sia. This song is such a strong one but did you see how this guy performed it effortlessly? I love how he didn’t do a pitch when he got to “I’m gonna twirl on the chandelier….” He just effortlessly sang it with so much emotion.
I really enjoyed every bit of it even though I didn’t understand the language.
The third place winner- @lyon-89 performed O chão Que Ela Pisa by CPM translated in English as “The Ground She Walks on” (oh yes, I did my research).
This was my best! I enjoyed every bit of it. I danced to every beat and even though I didn’t understand the language, it got me moving to the rhythm. The Electronic integration in the sound was very beautiful and brought so much harmony.
@kayor the fourth-place winner did a song by Madison Ryann titled Mirror. I loved the emotions that he showed while performing and I enjoyed it. The way he played with the song was beautiful and his rendition moved me to download the song. It was a very beautiful one.
The fifth place @alexdepool27 did a duet performance on “How Deep Is Your Love” by “The Bee Gees” and how beautiful it was.
It’s definitely the kind of sound I’d love to be playing in the background with me and my boyfriend sitting under the stars on a cold winter night. Oh, what a sight! The music was so enthralling and I loved it.
The sixth-place winner @joseacabrerav got me laughing at first. He looked like he forgot his introductory lines. And I imagined myself because that can definitely be me. I find it hard to memorize my lines(maybe that’s why I didn’t get to join the school plays). Anyway he got into the music eventually and that taught me a lesson, he didn’t dwell on how imperfect his introduction was, he rather flowed into his performance and that was so beautiful. He performed a song (I believe it’s his composition) - El Lugar by José Cabrera. I loved how he sang the song with his heart; that got me excited. This kind of song made me imagine myself doing a slow dance with my partner and it was beautiful.
I hope you enjoyed the performances like I did. They were all so beautiful and it got me wondering how the judges even got to make choices because it must have been hard. So beautiful I tell you.
Thanks for reading ❤️
