I was browsing the areas on the Splinterlands website and found a part called Soulkeep. I immediately became curious because in my research on Splinterlands I hadn't found anything related to it, probably because I hadn't researched it much until now. But after clicking on the Soulkeep tab, I discovered that it is a game associated with Splinterlands, although it is managed by another team.
Because it has the name Splinterlands in the middle, I immediately became interested in trying the game since it probably had a good structure or at least would be reliable like Splinterlands is. After some research, I discovered that it is a Tower Defender game, which caught my attention even more because I love this genre of game.
Regarding strategies, I only learned the basics of some towers and spells, I also completed the tutorial and now I'm going to Gateway Level 2. I don't really know how the rewards work in the game, if they are distributed after completing the Gateways or if they are only in Tournaments, from what I researched it seems that they are only in Tournaments but I prefer to clear up my doubts in practice.
Starting Gateway Level 2 these were my choices of Towers and Spells, I also know that there are Heroes, which in this case is only 1, the Heroine Celene, but since her DEC cost is a bit high and I don't know much about the game so I'll go with the basics, which are towers and spells, now let's go to the Waves.
Wave 1 - I had 210 mana so I selected 1 Quad Killer Tower, 1 Tarantula Loom Tower and put the Stew of Doom spell on the monsters' exit, with this strategy I only lost 2 life.
Wave 2 - I only upgraded the Quad Killer tower to increase its attack range and be able to complete the wave without losing any life.
Wave 3 - I decided to place 2 Gloom Owl Towers near my portal in case any monster is summoned near it and it was the right choice also because I completed the wave without losing any life.
Wave 4 - I placed 1 Tarantula Loom tower near my portal and 1 Tarantural Loom tower near the monster exit.
Wave 5 - I made the second upgrade of the Quad Killer tower and placed 1 Stew of Doom spell at the monster exit.
Wave 6 - I placed 3 Gloom Owl towers, upgraded 2 Tarantula Loom towers and placed 1 Stew of Doom spell at the monster exit.
With this strategy I managed to get past gateway level 2 losing only 2 life and I also realized that I only earn Souls by completing the gateways and it seems that the rewards are only in tournament mode, but I will only have to participate tomorrow because I need to pick up my kids from college.
