It's been a short while since I was able to join a Guild in Splinterlands and after 7 days I can finally use the Guild Store and buy Gladius Cases to build my Gladiator card collection in the game.
As I mentioned in other posts, I recently started playing Splinterlands again and before I stopped playing I had sold all my cards in the game and that included the Gladiator cards. At the time, burning Gladiator cards gave the player DEC so it was profitable to get rid of them.
Now I need to start my Gladiator card collection from scratch and today will be the day I get my first Gladiator cards in a long time.
Unfortunately I haven't been participating in my guild's Brawls very often because I'm short on time but I get a lot of merits by opening Loot Chests and since I started playing again I got enough merits to buy 12 Gladius Cases in the Guild Store.
12 Gladius Cases will cost me 24,000 merits and in addition to them I will also buy Blood Stones to increase my chance of getting legendary cards.
Each Blood Stone costs 56 merits and since I will open 12 Gladius Cases this means I will need to buy 60 Blood Stones (each card consumes 1 Blood Stone).
My total expenditure was 27,360 merits (24,000 merits from the 12 Gladius Cases and 3,360 merits from the 60 Blood Stones).
Since I am building my Gladiator card collection again so each card I get will be new to me and I am using the Blood Stones because there are some legendary Gladiator cards that will be very useful to me even if they are at level 1 so I want to try to get some to use in Brawls and also in my ranked battles when I have the opportunity.
Now that I have the Blood Stones and Gladius Cases, I'm ready to open them.
Remember that Alchemy potions and Legendary potions don't work in Gladius Cases, only Blood Stones and Power Stones.
I can consider myself very lucky because in addition to getting the 2 legendary cards that I wanted the most (Jini Guise and Sola Ranjell), I also got the Quora Towershead card and several other powerful cards that will certainly be very useful in my battles.
I also got a rare Gold Foil card that starts at level 2, so with this opening of Gladius Cases I'll have a great help in the next Brawl that I participate in, which will happen in a few days.
For now, my main focus in Splinterlands is to increase my collection of Soulbounds cards and Gladiator cards. For me, cards are the main assets in the game since without them players can't do anything, so increasing these collections will be very beneficial for me in the future.
