What's poppin' people? Here is your chance to see my bald ass head up close and personal once more. I set up to shoot some more new photographs here at home and the results were once again pleasing. Mostly due to the fact that my iPhone 14 Pro Max has elite portrait shooting skills and also due to the fact that I have some very nice Lume Cube lights. Without the lights, none of this would be possible. If I still had my old iPhone XS, the photos would be half as good. I'm lucky that 2022 was such a good year and I was able to gather all of these new tools before the draught of 2023 started.
I've had spurts where I didn't make use of my equipment out of laziness, but I've found that if I just leave the stuff out where I can easily see it always, then I'll be more tempted to actually get active with it. It seems to be working since this is the second time I've taken the time to capture photos of myself this week.
It's funny to me that posts like this on Instagram have nothing more than a few sentences of text to go along with them. Whereas if I were to do that here on Liketu, I always have to think about somebody in the community perhaps thinking it's "low effort" because I didn't supply a wall of text with the photographs. Kinda kind of boggling to me honestly. I hope we get past the stigma that long-form blogs are the epitome of quality.
If we are going to have a variety of applications on Hive, then people are going to need to be more open-minded about curation. I digress. As you can see, I'm not being lazy and I am taking the time to actually talk about these photos rather than just show them. Although I did just go off on a little Hive tangent. The thing is, I am not so sure that the majority of the people who view my content even take the time to read all of it. Then again, I have no way of actually knowing that for certain. I just know that it's so much easier to just read a headline, look at some photos, and then come up with a comment that makes it seem like you actually read the post. You don't see me getting mad because people may not fully absorb what I have to share. I don't call them lazy curators for their actions. Instead, I just pull up my britches and keep doing my thing like a big boy.
None of my thoughts about the topic above really even matter all that much in the grand scheme of things. As long as I'm able to continue to share whatever I want on my blog, then I'm happy. There is no way for my content to get deleted if someone doesn't like it, that's the real blessing of Hive. A downvote is the worst that can happen and those are there for a reason and don't actually do anything to alter your content, just your rewards. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that's what DPOS governance is all about. Decentralized social media is why I originally joined this platform after all. Creative efforts on Hive could result in rewards or they may not. This is why you absolutely must find a way to be passionate about what you create and not just greedy about what they may net you.
Ok now that I've ranted, time for you to leave a comment about my photos. Tell me what you think. I was just having fun with these, so don't take me too seriously, please.
