Hello there, Hiveans.
Being a part of this newbie program has been a huge accomplishment and a dream come true so far, since I know I'm not where I used to be, and I know deep down inside that I've grown since joining this beautiful program.
My Experience Since I Joined Hive
When I first joined hive, I was so intimidated by the platform that I couldn't even tell anyone about it. Those that insisted joined, and I explained to them that hive is difficult, and that earning money from the platform is difficult.
It was difficult for me to go through during the first few months after I joined, so I abandoned my account until four months later.
I should mention that the job I was doing at the time didn't allow me to devote enough time to learning everything there was to know about the hive blockchain. In conclusion, hive appeared to be a challenging platform; I didn't feel connected to anyone because I hadn't engaged with anyone, and it seemed like a dull place to be.
Around January, I chose to take my time exploring the site, and while I wasn't always consistent with publishing posts, I attempted to engage as much as possible by participating in contests and other activities. After a short while, I began to appreciate my time here as I had a deeper understanding of the platform. One way a newcomer can feel included is to think about it now, join a community, and participate. I was quite constant in participating in the weekly contests, and a few times I was one of the winners; this motivated me to do even better, and I made it a point to be the best I could be.
How Is The Journey Going
My stay on hive has been a wonderful mix of learning, earning, and having a good time. I've become addicted to hive, and believe me when I say it's a healthy addiction. Now, being here isn't all about how much money I make, but I must be honest; the friends I've made here are close to my heart despite the fact that I haven't met them directly. Money is also a motivator because it is required for a data subscription and bill payment, both of which are necessary for staying active.
My Thoughts On Plagiarism And Vote Begging.
Plagiarism is also referred to as thievery. Users are supposed to publish only original posts in a blockchain like a hive so that they know they are being paid for their labor. Getting paid to publish someone else's article is considered stealing. If everyone begins plagiarizing, the blockchain would lose its value since it will no longer be unique. One of the things that makes the blockchain valuable is the ability to publish a unique post. Plagiarism is frequently penalized, and the consequences aren't always pleasant. It's preferable to avoid it altogether.
Vote Begging on the other hand isn't good because it will provide the wrong impression of you to others. Unless specifically requested, it is inappropriate to give your post URL to anyone requesting them to upvote it. This is not acceptable.
Recycling a post simply implies submitting a previously published article. This will not only damage one's growth on the platform, but it will also cause one to lose their creative side. Other users who previously visited your post will no longer visit because it is no longer interesting to them. In conclusion, recycling an article is undesirable for your site because it might lead to downvotes, which can damage your reputation.
How Helpful Has This Post Been To You In Understanding Markdowns?
The post has given me a better understanding of the fundamentals and crucial aspects of the hive blockchain. Before reading and watching the video on the post, I was aware of a few markdowns. Justifying text, shifting text to the middle, and separating two languages in a blog post are just a few examples.
I've learned additional markdowns, which I'm confident will make my blog more appealing and neat, ensuring that my beautiful visitors continue to find my postings appealing. I should probably write a separate post regarding markdowns.
Learning and understanding how to utilize markdowns is crucial for any newcomer, as it will help us become better content creators, with the added benefit of making our post look more professional.
Big ups to the @newbies-hive and @hivelearners communities, as well as the @theycallmedan and @aliento teams for their outstanding assistance of the newbies, you are all assisting us in riding the train smoothly.
