Okay…! This one might be funny to you guys reading this or rather it won't be, just read it as it comes depending on your perspective.

There is this disease that is spreading rampantly in my country Nigeria, and it is also a pandemic in some parts of the world and it might be a global pandemic if care is not taken seriously.

It is a friend to no one and it won't stop for no reason if one doesn't work to prevent his or herself from falling victim to this predicament.

This disease is known with different names globally, but in my country it is called "SAPA".

Sapa, a slang word that has been reigning in Nigeria to describe a state of brokenness and extreme poverty, especially after extravagant spending. We can say Sapa is a mild way of saying a person is suffering or lack money; we can also call it a Spirit of poverty that targets you all the time.

Sapa is a state of one lacking funds or money in his or her account, another word for Sapa is brokenness and poverty.

Sapa is the worst disease or infirmity that should befall anyone, no matter your status in the society.

I guess to some point we can relate when one is broke, we might have been in the situation a couple of times and we do know how it feels like.

When Sapa befalls you, you do not just lose weight, but you lose your respect, self confidence.

If I have the opportunity to make a cure of one disease in this world, it would be the cure of sapa. Imagine a world with no poverty, with no recession, a place with a stable and balanced economy.

Cure to Sapa is what I'll create if I have the opportunity to do so.

But there are still some ways to avoid sapa, it can reduce the risk of falling victim of sapa:

Have emergency savings.
Avoid cruise shopping, actively.
Always remember that there's food at home.
Turn down as many POS transactions as you can.
Avoid those money sucking spirits you call friends.

Until next time stay safe, maximise your spendings, find a passive income and in all you do please save.
