Arcade Colony's Original game is Moon Karts. More games will be added in the near future. As you can see from the home page of Arcade Colony, it is closely linked to Splinterlands and Genesis League Goals. (Keep this in mind because it is the main reason Arcade Colony is providing me the funds to play Moon Karts)

I am a little behind everyone in starting to explore Arcade Colony and more specifically the game Moon Karts.
Play To Earn
In the Whitepaper, One of Moon Karts unique features is the "Play To earn Model"
It states:
At the heart of Moon Karts is the integration of blockchain technology allowing players to earn real-world value through in-game activities. This model
empowers players by making them stakeholders in the game's economy.
The challenge is getting the funds required to play the "play to earn" games
Acquiring funds
I love play to earn games. However the biggest hurdle for me is acquiring funds for the initial investment.
I have been playing Splinterlands and Genesis League Goals for a while now. I had kept forgetting that having SPS and GLX staked in those games earns me Colony Tokens on a daily basis.
Colony Token Airdrop
There is an ongoing Arcade Colony Airdrop for players of Splinterlands and Genesis League Goals. The only requirement is that you have in-game stakes of 5,000 SPS in Splinterlands and / or 10,000 GLX in Genesis League Goals. This airdrop will last for a total of five years. I believe it started last February so around four years are left in the airdrop.
Periodically, I go to the https://www.arcadecolony.com/ website and claim my Colony tokens and transfer them to HIVE ENGINE.
This morning I was able to claim 204.165 Colony tokens. This plus the other 999.49 Colony Tokens that I have claimed in the past is more than enough to purchase the required Kart and Driver needed to start learning how Moon Karts ecosystem works.
Kart and Driver
On Arcade Colony market, you can purchase a Kart and Driver which are required to play Moon Karts.
The lowest Kart on the market is or $0.14 or 0.202 Script
The lowest Driver on the market is or $0.12 or 0.173 Script
Swap Colony for Script
To purchase cards on the Arcade Colony market you must have script tokens to make the purchase.
In the past, I had always stopped there because I do not have any Script tokens. I guess you could say I never really thought about it much when claiming my Colony tokens. But I could have been started a long time ago if I would have remembered about swapping Colony for Script tokens right there in-game.
With the 200 Colony tokens I claimed today, it would swap for 0.137 Script tokens.
But now that I am thinking about it, I can also swap the tokens on BeeSwap. The same 200 Colony tokens would get me 0.203 Script tokens.
By collecting the Arcade Colony airdrop and then changing it to Script tokens, I can purchase the cards or packs needed to play Moon Karts. I will try to learn how to play and share my findings with you in the near future.
And since it is a game, I should have some fun along the way!!!
