While waiting and wondering what this week's Hive-Reachout prompt was going to be, I was captivated when it finally came up and it read, "What are your hive goals for 2025?". Boom! Like an explosion it was. Frankly, I wouldn't have guessed it to be so. More frankly, I must say that it's a nice prompt considering the time of year. I find that this topic can serve more like a reminder or awakening to one whose goals on hive might have been just null. Well, I'm glad to be writing on this topic as I have found it captivating and inspiring.

So, hive goals for 2025 huh?
Being a big fan of the game of football - or soccer as some parts of the world call it - I knew that the plan for every team - coach, players and management inclusive - is always to win, and how? By scoring goals! However, no team just marches into the field without a prior plan, tactics and calculated analysis of what is ahead. In full knowledge of that, I knew that to thrive in hive this year I needed goals, and thanks to the prompt for doing justice to that. So like a football team marching into the pitch with the goal to win, I march into this year with goals to achieve on hive.
Lately, I have been getting more conversant with the hive platform and it has left me in awe of what this web3 blockchain encapsulates. Through several scrolling and reading on the platform, I saw its versatility. I discovered it has decentralized versions of the known web2 platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and X in the form of Liketu, 3Speak and InLeo respectively. Captivated by it, I resolved that this year I will be conversant with these versions, and consistently use them for my hive interactions. Yeah, in a big way it's about growth and improvement on the platform for me.
One prominent goal for me is building a strong network and relationship with other hivers. Good relationship has proven a bedrock of many success stories and since hive is not a one-person platform but an interconnection of diverse persons, I figured I need to build quality relationships in order to rise and make waves on the platform. Hence, I have made it a duty to consistently interact with a good number of posts from diverse persons, and communities I belong to in a rich, positive sense.
Speaking about communities introduces my next goal. Discovering the uncountable number of communities I have come across on this platform, I found many to be of particular interest to me either through my skills, interest or passion. This has turned into a goal for me to explore the ones I have found, interact there and to also explore for more others that might resonate with me one way or the other.
Trust me, I have goals and here's a big one; this one I see it as the resultant effect of the other goals discussed above. And what could I be talking about? Growing my hive power. Yeah! In my little survey and journey here I understand - arguably - that a hiver's hive power means a whole lot to their "relevance" and impact on the blockchain. Barely two months on the hive blockchain, I am gradually walking up my way through the help of wonderful friends and mentors. One advice was to grow in my hive power and I am sure sticking to it since I desire a good stance on the platform.
However, it’s not just about gaining value for myself, but also adding value to whatever gives me value and results; and such is hive. So I put this as a goal to also see that in my little way I bring some growth, some value to the platform through my diverse contents. Hive has come to stay! On my part I will see to it that many persons get the news of hive and come on board for one of the best web3 blockchain experience they can ever have.
Stepping with goals in mind
They say, "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy", I figured "all talk and no work can make a Jack loser too". Hence, the need to work toward these goals cannot be negotiated or ignored. This I know!
