So guys, recently, Netflix added "The Maze Runner" trilogy to their list. This is a movie series I gave seen several times but I was tempted to see it again and this was due to the fact I was alawys seeing it on Netflix each time I log in. Honestly, I saw this series differently this time around and I have decided to do a review about this for those who are yet to see it.

To be sincere, unlike other movies in this category, I feel the Maze runner trilogy is far better because I was totally captivated by it's blend of action, mystery and suspense. Obviously, all these makes the Maze Runner very interesting.

The Maze Runner is a movie that was adapted from the novel written by James Dashner, and the trilogy consists of "The Maze Runner" (2014), "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" (2015), and "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" (2018).

The first installment of this trilogy titled "The Maze Runner", introduces us to a young man named Thomas who woke up in a mysterious glade that was surrounded by walls that looks like towers. He found himself in the midst of other boys like him who were also trapped in the maze and he had no memory of who he is or how he got there. Thomas became so determined to find a way out despite being told of the monstrous creatures that's feeding on those that tries to get out.

I loved the fact that this movie was able to keep me on the edge of my seat all through as I didn't just want to miss any part. I watched Thomas and there Gladers face obstacles and danger at every turn. I loved the fact that along the way, Thomas and other Gladers ended up forming bonds of friendship and loyalty. This helped them alot as they were able to face these challenges together while trying to escape.

In the second instalment that is titled "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials", Thomas and his friends were thrust into a desolate wasteland that was known as the scorch this time around as the story moved past the maze. They encountered new allies trying to flee from the hands of the ruthless organisation known as WCKD that has been holding them captive. A time came when they even had to face the threat of the Flare Virus that turns humans into mindless, zombie-like creatures which is actually the main reason WCKD was holding them captive because they thought that they were immuned to the virus and wanted to use them as lab rats.

It got to a point where Thomas and his companions had to find a way to confront their pasts and make difficult choices that will determine the fate of humanity. This second installment actually drew me into a world that is filled with danger and uncertainty and I loved the fact that the action sequences took my breath away and even the visual effects were right on point.

The final installment which is titled "Maze Runner: The Death Cure", brought icing to the iceberg. What I mean by this is that it perfectly brought this epic saga to a thrilling conclusion with Thomas embarking on a mission to rescue his friend Minho from the hands of WCKD. As expected, he was joined by his loyal allies, including Newt, and Frypan. Thomas had to face his greatest challenge in all the installment as he had to confront the ruthless Organization where he uncovers the shocking truth about his own identity.

Trust me guys, this last instalment delivers a satisfying conclusion to this trilogy and it left me on the edge of my seat until the very end with a heart pounding action and gripping storyline. Thomas and his friends fought for survival and freedom and they were able to discover the true meaning of courage, sacrifice, and resilience even in the face of adversity while doing that.

Guys, the "Maze Runner" trilogy is indeed a thrilling cinematic journey that I would recommend to everyone as it combines a pulse-pounding action with intriguing story line and compelling characters that did justice to their role. So guys, what do you think about this trilogy? Please let me know in the comment section.
