Hello all! Another week and it's time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. I usually do my goals posts on Monday, but that will be the first and I'll be doing my HPUD post then, so I figured we'd do it a day early. Included today, new goals for next year!
This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I'm going to look at the progress I've made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I'm looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we'll get to that too.
Let's start with my Hive goals.
~ Hive & HBD ~
My current goal is 25k Hive.
This past week I made 196.55, bringing me to 21503.64 total Hive Power. That's 86.0% of my goal!
Well, looks like I'm not even going to get to 22k! That's a little disappointing. Oh well.
Thinking of next year, I want to continue powering up a little everyday, and a little more every month on HPUD. This year on average I increased my HP about 900 Hive per month. Assuming that continues, I might expect 11k HIVE next year (rounding up). So continuing to round up, I'm going to make my goal next year 35k. That will be a bit of a reach based on current earnings, but not a lot of one. And if I do somehow manage to gain more support next year than this one, 35k might be even more attainable.
That in mind, I'm putting my stretch goal at 40k. As things stand, that is unrealistic. But that's why it's a stretch goal.
Of course neither of these goals are taking a bullrun into consideration. If BTC moons and I can move some of those profits to Hive, well, I might reach those goals much sooner. Let's hope for the bulls!
~ BRO ~
Last week I earned 0.171, which puts me at 524.51 total or 52.5% of my goal. I'm still not buying any and am instead focused on PIMP on the second layer, but BRO is still in my sights.
Next year I will retain my 1000 BRO goal here.
~ PIMP ~
My PIMP earnings fell back to average this week. I made 393.2178 PIMP, putting me at 63312.3 — 63.3% of my goal, which is 100k PIMP.
I will also retain this goal next year. I've been averaging 400 PIMP weekly for the past few months, so I might assume 22400 PIMP in earning next year. That would leave me with 14288 extra I'll have to figure out how to earn or buy.
~ BBH ~
This is one that has only recently become known to me when it seemed like everyone started tipping me with it at once. A glance at it shows some interesting details. Hold over 10 of it and you get a weekly swap.hive dividend. I've started holding over 10 myself, so I can work out the APR I'm getting in a few weeks time. Other tokens are added to the div the more BBH you hold. There are also for levels for calling the tipping bot.
Also, they are doing an airdrop soon. For every BEE you donate, you will receive 20 BBHO. Ok... "donate".
But still, it is as it is. The max supply of BBHO will be a small 200,000. So if you have some BEE lying around, you might jump in. I did, despite not really knowing what's going on yet. I figure it might be something I can flip, if nothing else. Or hold on to if one of you gives me a good reason to hold.
~ Other ~
I don't really see any other second layer tokens I am interested in chasing right now. I may buy some more DBOND when the sale opens up at the start of next year, and I may buy others here and there to flip, but no other big ones on my radar (yet!).
~ Silver ~
I didn't get any new silver this past week. Still working on my big order for next year. I still have some posts looking at some of my prior purchases in a bit more detail, so plenty of silver posts coming.
My goal next year will remain the same, and that is to buy at least something silver every week. I suppose with the big purchase I am saving up for by mail, that will work out to at least a couple months of purchases.
This year I chased too many collectable coins. I don't regret that—they are all interesting. But this coming year I am going to be more focused on value and try to get as close to spot as possible in purchases.
Will this be the year that silver finally breaks out? I'm not as knowledgable on this subject as some, but I know there have been claims of manipulation for many years, dating back to the pump to $50 in the late 70s and the subsequent drop to $11. These claims usually involve the true price being well over what it's at now; I've seen up to $100.
As of today, the price is right at $24 as of the writing. If you also want to bet that will increase dramatically next year, I see some of the online dealers have a year end sale going now.
For example, APMEX has some nice ones on sale.
I really like this one on sale for $28.50.
Hmm... I wonder if they have this coin on the site I use that ships to Japan. Will have to check!
That stuff out of the way, let's do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If I get under five commenters, I try to divide it up as best as possible, and if I get over five, I do a random drawing.
So how about this week? Let's see... last post we had comments from @jeffbuilds2 @bulliontools @stekene @shanibeer @bozz @bitcoinman @dkid14 @bless2 @devpress @hoosie @rimurutempest @thebighigg @mdasein @dewabrata @bitcoinflood @kerrislravenhill @epic-fail
And the winners are...
@bitcoinflood @shanibeer @dewabrata @kerrislravenhill @dkid14!
Congratulations, everyone!
I'm going to increase the fun on these posts from here out. Reblog this post and I'll add your name to the spinner twice, then if you win the spin I'll double the prize to 2 HSBI.
And forward we go! It was a strong week. Let's see how this coming one goes!
