Decided to on my laptop before I went out and started playing brawl instead of rank. Had no idea how but my mind was pretty calm and just trying to think of the best possibility to attack and defend the opponent using the rules given. This was one of my best brawl yet. My calm mind was never there for rank matches though.
Battle 1
With the equalizer ruleset, I did not have to worry much about my healer losing health quickly (since it's initial health was 3). When I saw what my opponent chose, I was quite happy about it because what's shield against magic?? Ok just kiddingg, they didn't have a snipe or any other attack that was targeting my goblin psychic so my front could heal, together with a miss, it was a combo.
Battle 2
Having an earthquake ruleset, I decided to choose a flying monster and some higher health monster. I had a spare mana but can't seem to find a more useful card so mycelic morphoid it is. Didn't have a card with trample though. I guess I can say the earthquake ruleset kinda saved me?
Battle 3
Was actually intimidated by my opponent's cards because of the 2 + 2 + 2 magic. Still had faith in my pelacor arbalest though. Chose this card because of the double strike and the ruleset had divine shield so wanted to get rid of it quickk. Watching the battle unfold, it definitely worked wonders.
Battle 4
Was hoping for melee attack to increase after the enrage ability but my monster always KO'ed/miss after it's ability increased. So the increase was pretty much useless.
Battle 5
Saw the blast ruleset so decided to put antoid platoon behind my front card since it can reduce damage. But yikes, the back card was also receiving damage and my djinn apprentice kept getting blasted with -2 health. It's ok though, we quickly got rid of the front card and lowered the health of the 2nd card with 3 times of attack on the front card each round. Imagine getting blasted 3 times and you can't even retaliate until you reach the front row...
