To start this new week, we'd discuss about the ability to deal with difficult times and not only that but also the ability to bounce back stronger from those moments. In other words, we shall examine your ability to either handle pressure or succumb to pressure.

There are some people who may naturally have the ability to stand strong in the face of difficulties and on the other hand for people who don't possess the ability they can learn it and make it become a part of their life. Life is full of ups and downs, but the ability to be able to survive the difficult times is based on how you handle the situation.

It is more easy for a person to understand and handle the challenges of life effectively if they find clarity and discover the purpose of their life. Instead of wallowing in regret and grieving about your problems, with a life that has clarity of purpose, you will be motivated to learn and bounce back. For example, living a healthy lifestyle, bonding with family and friends, learning new skills, volunteering in your community and so on is a way of discovering your purpose. During the down moments of life such as losing your job or losing a relationship or marriage, knowing your goal in life will be key to your quick recovery.

Also, it can be helpful to have confidence in your self and your ability to deal with the challenges of life. When you become confident in your strength and ability to handle difficult life moments with ease you are building yourself up to be able to combat future crisis. The moment negative thoughts begin to creep into your head, you can practice the art of replacing it with positive affirmations. As you do this and as it becomes a part of your life you're building your self-esteem and self-worth which is vital in quick recovery of life challenges.

In addition, it is important to develop a strong social connection with people that care and support you. These are people you can confide in and expect them to have your back. Your troubles and challenges may not fly away by just speaking to people about it but it allows you to be able to share your mind and express your feelings to people who care to listen. There positive feedback and words of encouragement will enable you to quickly come up with possible solutions.

The phase of your life that you're going through may be tough and difficult, but it is also more difficult to stay optimistic at those times, however optimism is going to help you get rid of your difficult times before you know it. Thinking positively is an indication that you understand that setbacks are part of life and they are temporary. It is also a self conviction that you have the ability to tackle the challenges that comes your way. Pessimism will only make the situation worse, so it is better to embrace an optimistic approach.

More importantly, it may be easy to pay less attention to your needs when you are going through difficult moments. You may refuse to eat healthy meals, overlook the importance of exercising regularly and not getting enough rest when you are in a tough phase. So, there is the need to maintain a conscious effort to build yourself and your needs.

Moving forward, when you are faced with overwhelming situations, take some time to pause and access the situation to really understand the issue ahead and find ways of managing the situation effectively. Challenges may be unsettling but what makes a person unique is the ability to view the situation in an open manner and profer workable approach to resolving it.

Finally, you can't fold your arms and expect your difficult times to passby without making any effort. It will only prolong the issue and make things worse. Instead, start to develop ways on resolving the issue with immediate effect. It may not be easy but it is what is needed to be done.
