The Demon I Called; Game Of Chance.

Ah!!! Just one number. I would have won the money. Ah!!! Assuming Ronaldo was in that match, Chelsea would have won the match. Oh!!I should have put big money on this game. I would have become a millionaire. I’m familiar with these statements. “The ringing tone of gamblers.”

This I call. “The game of chance”

Actually, the person who built the first casino built it for business purposes not for charity sake, business is for profit not loss. And right now he is living in billions of dollars. Because of some people who are looking for a shortcut to success. Some believe this is the easiest way to make it in life, so they invest all their life in it. Some were given just one game to try, and from that they became addicted to it.
It comes in grades: that of the local man and that of the sophisticated man.

I can point to two or three people whom this thing called gambling has ruined. This game is of more harm than good. My mom’s shop is beside a Lotto shop, and I relate with some of the people playing it. They troop in day and night, looking for sure game, sitting with Loto paper for hours just to predict the next game and the next game and the next game… The cycle continues.

I know a man that has two trailers around my mom's shop. He was doing well; he had people working for him. His trailer goes to the quarry every now and then. I don’t know who introduced him to this game. At a point in time, he was the champion in this game. People respected him and got numbers that were sure from him. But that was only a matter of time. Now he has nothing; this game of chance ruined him.

There was a man that won like three million some years back; he bought a piece of land and some blocks to build; he laid the foundation. Such a good fortune, right? But that was the end of it; he is living a wretched life now. And the funniest part is that these people have become addicted to it. Till now they are still playing it; they still believe there is a chance. I still have more examples of people like this; I know them: “Not them say issue bi this.”. Gambling is a silent killer. It drains wealth.

The truth is that some really want to be free, but the willpower is not there again. During one of my semester breaks, I went home. One of these gamblers who used to come and gist me whenever I came around came to me and lamented on how this thing was ruining him. He was a carpenter and was prosperous in the business, but this demon called gambling was ruining his life. I gave him a few tips and also said he needs accountability, someone that can keep a close watch; I couldn’t be of much help that time because I needed to resume back to school. When I saw him this new year. He was still playing it and wasn’t looking well at all.

I met a brother yesterday who was telling me his loved ones had to threaten him with prison, and they withdrew their support before he could free himself from the grip of this demon. Believe you me, not many people want to continue; a lot are crying for help. It has become an addict.

The only set this law will affect are the owner of the company and the people working for them. If this law can stand, a lot of people all over the world will receive a great freedom from this demon. Although some of them will still look for ways to continue to feed this lust. I believe the benefits will be more than the negative effects.

I was telling my friend while writing this post just to share ideas with her, and she told me an exact story about a man who won millions through betting but still lived in wretched, she said the man squandered the money and that was all, so many people are a victim of this and this can tamper with their mental health and leads to depression

company owners become the ones who are harmed in gambling lighting
