A Close.

I thought hard about it, looking at my present and thinking of the future. I have one answer.

“As the year draws to a close I am the most excited I have ever been. I am aware and conscious of all my mistakes and lessons brought by the year 2024. I am confident in the ability I have to make the most out of a challenge. As the storm approaches, I am prepared with my banner.”

I was on the road going to help mom set up shop at the new location when a thought occurred to me, “I had less than a thousand naira in my account.”

Surprisingly, I did not get that pang or the knots in my stomach like I used to. In fact, I was looking forward to the new ways I’d handle my lack of cash. This brings me to something Brian Tracy said about building confidence. He said the more you do something, the better you get at it. Maybe I have been doing broke for a very long time…

Anyway, I thought back on all the times I was broker than broke. I’m not dead and those times have always left me with a valuable lesson. Either it’s about saving or spending money. Borrowing or lending it. There was always something to learn. Time frames: the best time to hold money and the best times to use it.

I also learned that one action can affect your finances for months to come. I have always been running away from numbers but now I’m running towards it. I’m wondering, have I financially unlocked a new level in my life? Because if so, I look forward to what it brings.

As the year draws to a close, I’m still at a cross road. Believe me when I say I’m facing deep conflicts about what the next chapter of my life would be. A major decision is my career choice. I’m very torn but when have I never been? As much as I dislike conflict, I embrace them because they make me better. There is a vision I have and it won’t be achievable without conflict.

As the year draws to a close, I have expectations, I have wishes, and I have hopes. I want to try something I haven’t before. All of a sudden, I have this hunger to dare something and I will. I just completed a course I took on two months ago, the feeling of satisfaction can’t be expressed in words. I do know how I feel though and I hope to make the most of this.

As the year draws to a close, I believe that miracles can happen and they will happen. I look forward to it.
