I have been away from this club for so long but now, I’m back. I started with the Saturday Savers Club in 2022 I think and was able to save enough to support myself and goals. Through saving consistently, I was able to build a lifestyle that is now a very core of my person. I cannot emphasise enough how much savings has come through for me during situations of dire need.
This year, 2025, I have a few things I want to pick up. New things I want to try and old dreams I want to see through. I halted in my academics due to misplaced priorities and finances. That I take responsibility for. Part of my dilemma now is not entirely my fault. I have to deal with the corrupt practices of the educational system in Nigeria which is stretched not only in conventional universities but also in online systems. Let’s just say I got pissed and gave them the middle finger but, I can’t not get my degree. I’ve already come this far. Besides, this in the long run is for me.
So, I’m going back to school. Thanks to @tengolotodo, who introduced me to other ways of making money through Crypto, I’ve been able to raise my fee for a Semester. Also doing side gigs has helped as well.
Now, I’m just waiting for school to resume so I can take my fees there and become a student again. I have only 18 months left according to my knowledge but I’m prepared for anything with these schools. I’ve been given new courses over the years for reasons best known to the educational system, but my mindset here is getting to close this chapter of my life.
My Primary goals on Hive is to hit 5000 HP as the year ends and have at least 200 HBD in savings. Last year, I paid rent from the savings I had locked up. This small feat was a huge boost in confidence for me. Much so that I hope to have $50 in savings by the end of this year. Looks like a small goal but if there is anything I learned in 2024, it is keeping my goals realistic and avoiding pressure.
The last but not least is building my portfolio. I want to start by accumulating 100 USDT in my trade account. How I double it, I’m not sure yet. All that matters is taking it one step at a time.
