It turned out to be a great hike to Mount Chumerna. It is relatively small, only 1536 m, but the view around was so cool and the wind, on the other hand, that we with @vesytz, @fog043 and the other friend could barely stay on our feet.
Chumerna Peak is the highest peak in the central part of Stara Planina. It usually takes about an hour to walk to the top from the hut where we camped, but our old mountaineer friend really wanted to test his off-road car on the rocky route 🚙
The name of the peak speaks of something "crazy", which completely speaks of the weather here - fog, strong winds and clouds alternate literally every 20 minutes.
Shortly before the top there were two abandoned and dilapidated buildings, which we somehow wanted to photograph.
On the ridge at the top there is some kind of military base that blocks the view on one side..this building didn't turn out to be a very pleasant sight.
We went down to the lower part of the peak, where we found wood collected by our mountaineer friend from last year, which was intact.
