Hello Hive! Hello everyone! How are you today? I hope all of you are doing well. Last June 19, 2024, until June 23, 2024, is my vacation trip in the beautiful Island of Boracay. The incredible Island is in Malay, Aklan, Philippines.

The round-trip flights and the hotel of this vacation was booked last March 2024. I have been to the Island way back December 2019 with my nephews, nieces, and cousins and I fall in love to the Island. That is the time that the Island was newly rehabilitated.

The Island is really very beautiful. The wide beach, the fine sands, and its clear blue green water.

The long white wide beach of the Island also has three parts: Station 1, Station 2, and Station 3. When we visited the Island last 2019, we only stay at Station 2 and 3. I do not have the chance to explore the whole area of the beach from Station 1 to the last station that is why this year’s trip, I made a promise to myself that I will go round the whole area of the beach.

I am having my stay at Alice in Wonderland Beach Hotel and booked the place through Agoda. It is only 8, 460 pesos or 144.84 USD including the tax for a studio type room with queen size bed and a terrace for 4 nights and 5 days with free breakfast.

The room also has bathtub, small kitchen, and a refrigerator with drinks inside. You can check the hotel on the internet and read the different reviews for reference.

It is a three-star hotel and located near Malay Police Station, near 7 eleven, and near La Carmela de Boracay Hotel in Station 2, the beach hotel where we stayed last 2019.

For the round-trip flights, it is 14, 000 pesos plus including tax or 239.69 USD in Philippine Airlines. I suggest that if you plan to visit the Island, book the flights 1 year or 7 months ahead to have a lesser price for the flights because the nearer the date of the travel, the more expensive it is.

I also recommend seeing flight promos in different airlines. Just like our vacation trip last December 2019 to the same Island, Boracay. I only pay almost 4000 including tax or 68.48 USD for a round-trip flight with Cebu Pacific Airlines. It is a flight promo and my niece booked it 7 months ahead of the flight schedule.

For my second time visiting the Island, I observed a lot of changes.

Last 2019, when we arrived at the airport, we directly ride a tricycle of our choice, and we only pay less amount for the fare going to the Jetty port. In the port, we pay 300 pesos plus or 5.14 USD each person for the environmental fee and 50 pesos or 0.86 USD ticket for each person going to the Island and then a tricycle going to the hotel. I pay less compared to this year.

This year 2024, it is very smooth. Upon arriving at the airport, there is a booth where you will pay the ticket for the tricycle going to Jetty Port. Each ticket is 75 pesos or 1.28 USD and, in the port, there is already a tourist guide that will assist every tourist going to the Island. You can choose which people you would like to assist you, and I pay 600 pesos for Mabuhay Tourist including the tourist guide, environmental fee, boat going to the Island, and the transportation going to the hotel. It is a package and less hassle.

Just the same process going back to the airport, and I only pay 600 pesos or 10.27 USD for Express Inn Tourist. You can approach the front desk of your hotel and the hotel will arrange everything for you. There is a tourist guide that will get the tourists to the hotel and then bring them to the port to ride the boat going to the mainland. In the mainland port, there is a transportation a tricycle or a car or a bus that brings the tourist to the airport.

For safety purposes, always see the company ID of the tourist guide and make sure that they are wearing the company uniform, and you are riding the company transportation.

My flight scheduled to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport or known as Caticlan Airport, is at 1:30 in the afternoon from Mactan-Cebu International Airport and it was delayed for 30 minutes. I arrived at the hotel around 4 o’clock in the afternoon and I was a little bit tired and turned on the air conditioning of the room and directly went to sleep. I woke up almost 8 o’clock in the evening and hungry. I went outside the hotel and had my dinner.

I did not have much activity on my first day on the Island. I just took a short walk and felt the fresh air on the beach after dinner and went back to the hotel.

On the second day until the fourth day, I spent most of my time from morning to evening on the beach, swimming, roaming around from Station 1 to the last station, eating, and sunbathing.

There are a lot of water activities on the Island, however I never have the chance to experience it. I was so focused on swimming and lying down on the white sands all the time.

On the last day on the Island, I woke up very early around 5 o’clock in the morning and took a walk on the beach. I really loved the place.

At around 7 o’clock, I went back to the hotel and had my breakfast. The hotel serves breakfast from 7 o’clock until 10 o’clock in the morning. It is not a breakfast buffet unlike in La Carmela de Boracay Hotel. It includes eat all you can breakfast or a breakfast buffet.

After breakfast, I went back to my room and started packing all the souvenirs that I bought for my family and my own personal stuff. Then, I clean the room.

They do housekeep every day, but I do not want anybody to get inside my room, that is why I clean it by myself. They also let me borrow cleaning tools, and I clean the room once a day.

The check-in time is 2 o’clock in the afternoon and the check-out time is 12 noon, same as at another hotel.

The staff of the hotel were all friendly and approachable. The rate of the hotel room is a very good deal. It is near to everything you need, atm machine, laundry shop, restaurants, convenience store, and other necessities. I had a nice stay at the hotel, and a wonderful experience on the Island.
