Hello Hive! Hello everybody! How are you today? I hope all of you are doing well. I took photos while riding a tricycle going to the market, Sunday morning.
I was mesmerized on how peaceful the provincial road today. There is no traffic and only few vehicles passed by. The market of our town Tabogon is always open from Monday to Sunday. However, the usual Tabo which is the market day of our town is Tuesday.
Tabo – it is the native word for market day in my hometown Tabogon, Cebu, Philippines on which a lot of vendors from different places gathered and some of them just display their products on the street of the town.
Usually on Sunday, there is not too many vendors. Only few are displaying their vegetable products on the lobby of the market and there are no vendors on the street displaying a goods.
My niece and I waited for a transportation, and it so happened that there is a tricycle that passed by and there are still two sits available. We grabbed it so we can go to the market and buy our food and be able to be gone home before 12 o’clock because we still need to cook food for lunch when we are home.
At first, I was not thinking about taking pictures. It is my niece who ask me if I would like to take pictures of the view because the surroundings are so peaceful, and the sky is so beautiful. And I told her that she is right. I was amazed of the surroundings, but I was not thinking of taking a photograph.
We were already in barangay Daantabogon when I started to take a shot. There is a bridge that connects barangay Daantabogon and sitio Itu-ituhan which is part of barangay Taba-ao. The bridge was just newly finished, and some of the construction equipment are still there on the side of the road. Before reaching the bridge, you can see a lot of concrete barriers on the side of the road with yellow and black color to protect the riders and the people on that side of the street from falling.
The bridge also has a yellow and white color so that it is more visible to the drivers especially during the night. I observed that the wall of the bridge is a little bit higher than the design of the bridge before it was repair. Maybe it was really designed so that nobody can sit down on its wall and for more security from falling to the river when there are unexpected circumstances.
Some of the car, tricycle, and motorcycle of the people who live in the area was just park on the side of the street.
The route going to the market is not straight. There are parts which is slope.
Some parts are curves.
Other parts are cracks and damage.
I enjoyed watching the houses and the different colors and design of the gates.
Some gates are concrete.
Other gates are made up of wood and bamboos.
There are lots of flowers and trees on the street that give shades to those people who will stroll on the sidewalk.
We also passed by on a gasoline station. There are colorful bandaritas hung up on each sidewalk. Maybe there will be a celebration coming on that barangay or maybe the celebration is just newly finished, and they just do not remove the colorful bandaritas.
Bandaritas – means a party flag hung up when there is a fiesta celebration or festivity in a place.
Moreover, I saw a lot of cars park on the sidewalk. That area is where the famous Banyan Spring located. I think the resort have a lot of clients and visitors today because it is Sunday which is usually family day. The perfect day to unwind on the freshwater resort with family and friends.
After the Banyan Spring Resort, we passed by in a cemetery and there is a house situated on the area.
As we keep moving forward, there is another bridge and a signage “Welcome to Brgy. Piyo”. We almost arrive to our destination. The tricycle is moving upward because the road is slant. Then we are already in downtown. There is another gasoline station and on the opposite side is a hardware store.

Furthermore, I saw an LPG station where you can refill the gas of your empty tank for your gas stove.
There is a small barber shop, and on the opposite side is a bakeshop.
Then, the terminal for Ceres bus.
There are burger shop, pharmacy, and bakeshop. The terminal for minibus is beside the pawnshop located on the opposite side of burger shop.
That is our Town Sports Complex and the Municipal Offices.
That is the street where the vendors display their goods every Tuesday, which is the Tabo or Market Day of our town.
