HIVE SAVED ME FROM EMBARRASSMENT

In the morning, i hurried out for work with a good intension to serve my customers in the shop so i took a bus but while i was inside the bus i heard a voice in my head asking me if i have forgotten anything at home! But another voice said shut up, all you need is your customers today. I just smiled and turned my earphones then played a song titled soft money by wizkid and the first thing i heard from the lyrics was money way we get e no go finish meaning the money we have will not finish.

Immediately i heard a voice asking me "how much do you have??" Then my eyes opened and i realized my wallet is not with me i actually forgot it at home and too bad i was already close to where i should be coming down from the bus. My head became hot and i couldn't even say a word or ask for help from anyone inside a public bus. I felt so embarrassed first of all what will i tell the bus driver, that as handsome as i was looking i dont have money to pay for my transportation or should i lie to him that my money flew out of the bus window because he was driving too fast?

Before i could think of what to do the bus had already stopped exactly where i told the driver that I'll be stopping. I was feeling so embarrassed while stepping out of the bus and one mind told me silas run maybe i was about to run when i saw a pay on sales agent (POS) just beside the road.

Under two seconds my sharp brain generated a perfect idea and i told the POS girl do you have five hundred naira there? And she said yes then i collected it and gave to the bus driver and got some change.. i was already feeling comfortable as i have paid my transportation money but what was i going to do with the innocent person i just collected five hundred naira from?

I had to withdraw two dollars from my hive wallet and convert it to naira.. it gave me a thousand five hundred and i sent it to the POS lady and collected cash from her, this is how my sweetest day would have been a big embarrassment if not for hive. I paid my transportation and even had extra cash to feed with the whole day. Thank you so much hive i am honored and grateful 😊❤️.

Welcome to your third week on Hive. There's a lot to familiarize yourself with. Take your time, have fun. Rather than tag both LEO and Ecency, consider choosing one or the other and post this type of content in their community instead of Comedy Open Mic.

Curators spend their time reading each Comedy Open Mic entry so when there's no punch line, they wasted their time rather than use it supporting the community.

This your fourth time posting to Comedy Open Mic, I'm assuming it's an error. This community is for jokes, funny things, parody's, comedy stuff.

Okay this is well understood @dandays thank you so much for the outline and correction i really appreciate when im being pointed out to an error or mistakes❤️.

I just noticed my first three paragraphs were all story lines before the main subject of the comedy post so is there anywhere of me correcting the post and making it proper?

Thats really cool I found this

The least that could happen is if a post is going to have long, dry paragraphs ahead of the funny, then at least it needs to have long funny parts. Otherwise, it feels like someone calling and inviting you over for a drink on their treat, and after your effort, it turns out that drink is water.

It seems like you're posting this in the wrong community. This is not a comedy post and reads more like a Facebook status update if we put together all the relevant things. As for the rest, you included so many parts that weren't at all necessary in the post, for example, 95% of the first 4 paragraphs.

Okay @amirtheawesome1 it was supposed to be for comedy open mic unfortunately i now notice the first paragraphs were story lines like you've said.. i was hoping to make a correction to this.. is it prompt?

As Dan mentioned, comedy posts require more than simply telling a story. Watch stand-up comedy shows and see how a simple story is filled with jokes in the middle. Your story is simply about time where nothing really happened as the issue with the payment was resolved quickly and that was the part to laugh at the most.

We'll be doing newsletters every week to explain how to make comedy posts. For now, read the pinned one to get an idea.
